Good evening. Hope you had a great and relaxing weekend. Fall is always a much anticipated season for me. It is by far my favorite but it also makes me a little sad. It reminds me a lot of what is no more….Halloween and trick or treating with my boys, fall fairs, apple picking as a family, football games on a brisk fall day or even better under the lights, etc…you get the picture.
A lot of what I love about fall had to do with being a family and having my young boys at home. When they were gone, I. had Teddy who was always a willing and cooperative participant, no matter what I dressed him in:) Sadly, he is not with me this Halloween though he certainly is in spirit.
So it’s always a bittersweet time of year. I feel too young to not be racing to the nearest Halloween store to get my boys all decked out for the “big day”. I am thankful to have those memories, which will always be near and dear to my heart. So, I can think of no better way to start a new fall week than with my Fall Love contest. I am so excited to present to you round 1 of the Fall Love contest.
These contests are always such fun for me to hold, love seeing your pictures and what fall means to you. Got so many wonderful shots….time to put your thinking caps and choose your three favorites. Tomorrow evening I will post round 2 and then we will have our showdown round.
So ready to take a look at round 1? Here we go…..

Some real beauties here and all depict fall in their own unique beautiful way. I had to scroll several times but alas narrowed it down to my three faves. Now, it’s your turn. You can choose three favorites (it is limited so you can only vote once).
The next round will post tomorrow evening so be sure to check back and vote in that round as well. Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful day. Until tomorrow….
All such great pictures but 15 just blew me away. What a beautiful shot they captured. I am a summer gal but do appreciate the beauty of fall. Tina, i. know adjusting to an empty nest is hard especially when you love being a mom as is obvious but it will get easier and one day you will have grandkids to dote on!
I still. have one left (graduating from hs next year) but already anxious about when she is gone off to college. I feel your pain. Think of it this way- more candy for you haha.
I feel your pain about Halloween. This is the first year we haven’t done much decorating. I miss those days when my 3 were younger and they couldn’t wait for me to make their costumes. Thanks for having the photo contest~~such fun looking at everyone’s pictures.
Tina I have 14 year old twins who want nothing to do with me for Halloween so though they are here they really are not “here”. Its so much more fun when they are young and eager to do all you say! I love seeing all the little kids in our neighborhood sprint from one house to the next, we get a good 100 kids, so my big bowl of candy is full and ready.
Love the pictures and chose my favorite 3, fun contest.
Only three?? Gold Retrievers should be in a category by themselves. You are not alone or as in My Blue Heaven, “you are really not alone” in your melancholy moods, my favorite season but as the leaves fall you are reminded of years in the past.
The beautiful depictions of fall evoked strong emotions of my past life in the northeast, and brought back fond memories of that glorious season! I truly miss the crisp fall air, being able to wear my handknit sweaters (a legacy from my grandmother), and even a change of cuisine to more substantial fare. As a Florida transplant, these pictures brought all that back to me, and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s entries. I especially liked the pictures posed with the blue&white china, which shows its versatility. Thank you for brightening my day.
These are the best yet. I had a hard time choosing. They are all lovely and feel like fall. Like you the season is full of happy bittersweet memories of when my children were young,
All the pictures embody the essence of fall, they are all wonderful pictures. #15 and #34 were a tie for me. I can only imagine driving down that road in the fall to the ranch home or sitting in the library, with a nice fall adult beverage cozy by the fire, and all those books. Can’t wait for round 2. Happy Fall Y’all 🙂

Lovely photos but my favorite is the tiny King Charles spaniel!
I love the little Cavalier tip toeing through the Pumpkins! #29
Great photos
Oh, the sweet puppy in the pumpkins (and glorious pumpkins they are) gets my vote. #29
So many beautiful images. I love #28! Happy Monday, Tina!
Hi Tina
Oh Teddy looks so sweet. There were so many great pictures this time it was hard to choose.
Only three?? Gold Retrievers should be in a category by themselves. You are not alone or as in My Blue Heaven, “you are really not alone” in your melancholy moods, my favorite season but as the leaves fall you are reminded of years in the past.
Gorgeous, gorgeous photos. A difficult choice, but a pleasure seeing them.
It was extremely had to chose just 3

Every picture is sensational, very hard to select one.
I am beyond honored to be one of the selections!!! Thank you, Tina! So many beautiful images, hard to pick just 3 favorites!
Isn’t #1 and #26 the same table?
It’s the puppy that does it for me fall colors the whole nine yards. He or she is going to be someone’s Christmas present for sure . Just beautiful

Puppies and pumpkins? Adorable!

Lots of tough competition this time, dear Tina. Lucky you don’t have to be the judge. Hope you have a great week.
