Hi there and happy Christmas Eve! Well, the couuntdown is on! Hard to believe Christmas is tomorrow. Its been a very busy week over here, and frankly I have been looking forward to this day for weeks, knowing pretty much everything is done except picking. up my pies and rolls. What’s done is done is my motto every Christmas Eve. So nice to have my dear dad here all week and we are all looking forward to a few days of being home, one room will have holiday flicks while the other will be blaring with nonstop football games (my fanatic son and dad are behind that one) and hopefully a yummy meal cooking.

Hope this finds you well and prepared as you can be! Hopefully you are taking a little break to read my post, and here we go…..

1 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COOKIES ON THE PLANET! When we decided to plan a holiday cocktail party, I knew I wanted to do some kind of a sweet take home treat. There was only one person in my eyes for the job,  Cowtown Cookies. I will do a party recap post in the next week.

I have been a huge fan of hers as her cookie creations are just beyond. She was so sweet to work with me, I sent over pictures of my holiday decor and she came up with these literal mini masterpieces. I have never seen such beautiful Christmas cookies!!!  Needless to say each and every one of my guests were in awe over these. Click here to see her on Instagram and be prepared to go down a beautiufl rabbit hole!

2 AN ELEGANT  HOUSE TOUR WITH SCHUMACHER AND BARRY DIXON I loved this house tour of the elegant abode belonging to Barry Dixon. It exudes old world Virgina charm and I just. love how he preserved the integrity of this elegant and lately home. Hope you enjoy it too!

3 CUSTOM TABLECLOTHS ARE COMING BACK! So last year we offered, for a very limited time,  beautiful custom tablecloths after I had one made for myself born out of sheer frustration of not being able to find a nice quality tablecloth to fit my large table.

We bought bolts of a beautiful fabric and sold out almost right away. I have been on the prowl to repeat this as many ask for these often. I am pleased to announce that I found another great resource for a beautiful high quality fabric and will once again be offering the custom tablecloths. We will have these available to order in about 2 weeks so if you are interested just email [email protected] and we will put you on our list of contacts as the information becomes available.

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A beautiful and merry holiday round up!

5 HOLIDAY MOVIE TIME! Like to watch holiday/Christmas movies over the break? I do! I am totally fine passing on football to watch a snow filled scene of a small town where Christmas miracles happen. They take me away and after the chaos of the last few weeks, I am only too  happy to sit down, kick back and go on a movie marathon. Here are a few lists, many of my favorites. I also recently watched A Castle for Christmas with Brooke Shields, I loved it, it is a visually beautiful movie. A light fun holiday flick.

6 JULIE MCALLISTER CAKES Would you believe it if I told you these are all cakes?? I am just completely obsessed with these cakes by talented cake maestro Julie McAllister. Truly works of art. I had to share these creative concoctions with you. Click here to find out more about Julie’s world of cakes!

7 SEVENS SURVEY So Christmas is here and we made it…..what’s done is done. All my gifts are finally wrapped up, my food shopping done, holiday table almost all set. Just about everything is checked off my list. Wondering if its the same with you or you are like my son who texted me last night asking what I would suggest for various members in our family so he can go CHRISTMAS SHOPPING TODAY…Christmas Eve!!

I nearly fell over in my chair, that’s a 28 year old for you! But seriously I. know some people actually enjoy going out on Christmas Eve to do these last minute things, for some it may even be a tradition. Where are you on this spectrum?

And that is a wrap for this Christmas Eve! I want to wish everyone a wonderful, peaceful day and to thank you all for your support, friendship and kindness throughout the year. One of my many blessings to be sure. I will post tomorrow with a holiday message and hopefully a few pictures of my Christmas table. Until then….

As we step through a chaotic world, I want to pause at Christmastime and especially thank you for bringing the lovely, the calm, the beautiful, the humorous to your devoted followers on an almost daily basis. We know the world is out there. When you get tired of Christmas movies, I recommend Maestro on Netflix. Bradley Cooper stars in the movie about Leonard Berstein. Bradley Cooper also directed the film and his daughter is in it, as well. He is sure to be nominated for his work.
Happy New Year!!!
