Hi, a little over 2 weekends ago I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for my daughter in law and son. I forgot how much goes into planning an event, though I have to admit it was loads of fun…devils in the details! Everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned.

It was a typical summery day and the original  plan was to set up a seated dinner outside, but it was borderline “too hot” and my daughter in law and I agreed, everyone would be more comfortable in the ac. Thankfully, it was a bight and sunny day. So I served rosè, beverages and a few appetizers outside for about 45 min then we moved indoors. It turned out to be a perfect plan. They say when the stars are aligned, everything works out. On this day, everything worked out beautifully, the decor was so pretty, everyone was joyful and the food was so so good!

Originally we were to be about 40  but ended up at around 32 women. This was the day that the airlines were at a standstill (some of them) and affected 3 guests, though one came in as the shower was winding down…just in time for a piece of cake! And 3 were out for Covid, crazy that it’s still around.  Overall, it was a very memorable day celebrating the most exciting thing to happen to this family in a long time:) The countdown is on…..

Not much narration necessary as I think the pictures speak volumes hope you enjoy-

We need to take a moment to ooh and ahh over these cookies…..prettier cookies I don’t think exist!! Thanks Cowtown Cookies!

The artistry is unbelievable!

Putting the food out (which was soooo good)

Love these large beverage dispensers, which held iced tea and lemonade….kind of elevates everything (rosè and sparkling waters were placed in the large bamboo holders)

These pictures are making me hungry!

Not only was everything pretty but it was so delicious

Meanwhile outside…..

Adore the way these looked, our mini blue/white cups are perfect to use for individual appetizers such as these crudités

Had these two huge 4ft teddy bears sitting on either of the loveseats as you walked in

And had little teddy’s spread out all over

So love our new large rectangular soft blue scalloped lacquer tray

Yum!

Prosecco, lemondade and iced tea
