Oh yea, fall has most definitely arrived which of course I am loving. Not seeing much foliage yet which works in my favor as I am hoping to head upstate this weekend to take in falls splendor and know the days are numbered to enjoy it at its peak. It is supposed to be cold but as long as it’s clear nothing will stop me:) I put it on my calendar and really don’t want to miss it this year, it is one of natures greatest gifts!

As I do every few weeks I share with you life happenings via my trust little iPhone.Mostly the good, pretty and yummy:) So here is life the last few weeks-

Always love a chance to wrap up a pretty gift, this one was going to a green loving friend so used my trellis paper with blue/white ginhgam and our TEH gift stickers

Madly. in love with my salt and peppers, they cannot come soon enough, they are like little works of art

Weston Farms sent me the most beautiful magnolia wreath and magnolia bunches so I could add a touch of fall to my home, love it all! Added the wreath to my front door and the cuttings on my mantle

Added some to my mantle along with my pumpkins (due here Oct 24th and cannot wait)!

Experimented trying to make Cipriani’s salad, I couldn’t find baby artichokes anywhere so used a regular artichoke, avocado and Parmesan with a lemon dressing, it wasn’t quite as good as theirs (the baby artichoke was the difference) but it was actually very tasty.

I love this huge spray of forsythia on my hall chest in our giant pheasant ginger jar, I think I might just keep this up year round and break the rules of the flowers being out of season:)

Our beautiful staircase, I still marvel at what a work of art it is, the workmanship is very special, it’s almost like a sculpture

Another day, another salad experiment, this one I really enjoyed, finely cut Brussels sprouts, one avocado, a little fresh parm, with lemon and olive oil dressing, so fresh and good!

My favorite “go to” salad- baby lettuce cut up small, a lot of cucumber, ripe tomatoes, a whole avocado, a big dollop of hummus then freshly squeezed lemon and olive oil with a dash of sea salt…so good, fresh and satisfying!

The darling Staffordshire dogs that were getting ready for their maiden voyage to The Enchanted Home

First fall alfresco dinner setting! More on this coming soon

We were busy little elves wrapping Christmas gifts- that’s right you heard correctly! But before your envy sets in about how organized I am, full disclosure is that these were empty boxes and were for the photo shoot, love the way they came out. My shopping does not begin until after Thanksgiving, just the way I roll:)

Our fabulous new holiday giftwrap collection  will be on presale next later Monday or starting Tues- you don’t want to miss it!

Was at someones house last Sunday and it was the most beautiful sunset…..what a nice way to end the weekend, nothing  like a home situated on the water!

I brought my shrimp cocktail, I put ice cubs on bottom then load it with shaved ice, add shrimp and my zesty cocktail sauce….instant appetizer! (I cook my shrimp about an hour or two ahead of time store them in a plastic container with lots of cut up lemon) so they are served chilled and ready to eat!

Speaking of good food- best baby artichoke, avocado and parm salad at Cipriani downtown

Another pretty gift to wrap,  this time using my pink chinoiserie paper with pink raffia and of course my lovely monogrammed gift tags

A great way to present an appetizer tray- fill the mint juleps with your various condiments- in my case it was hummus, guacamole, small crostinis, nut mix, pretzels, vegetables and tera chips  then place them all on my fabulous. new Chippendale silver tray, it makes the most beautiful presentation! I promise you will get all kinds of oohs and aaah from your guests!  (All silver from my shop, categories on the left once you get to silver page, click here to see)

Add a few mini gourds, maybe a few fall leaves and you have yourself one fabulous fall presentation!

Another day in the city,  love the juxtaposition of this ultra modern sculpture by Tony Cragg against the old world buildings of Park Ave

And speaking of old world NYC….back to the deign job there, just love how this classically beautiful apt is shaping up, still have a ways to go but we are making great progress!

Nest step is to begin accessorizing/filling in (accessories, art, plates, etc….)

Beautiful EJ Victor chairs finally arrived, was so happy to get rid of those brown ones:)

Luxurious silk dupioni drapes are so beautiful and got these new R. Lauren sconces put in

Living room moving along beautifully, added two mirrors, now looking for art above the credenza

Cannot get enough of the lacquered library room, it is so beautiful….the kind of room you want to hibernate in all winter long:)

And when leaving the city, I can always count on a predictable traffic jam:)

Going to end this with a bang, a good friend was recently in Amsterdam and sent me these pictures, she said at every turn she thought of me. Hummm….wonder why?

And may I introduce to you…..my new Enchanted Home mobile:) Oh how I wish, all I need is a little ginger jar on top that lights up and turns….kind of a roving rescue vehicle for anyone needing a blue and white fix lol

That was a fun way to end this post….that car just did me in. I am dreaming of zipping about in that cute little car, could even put my logo on the hood and doors, can you imagine!  There would certainly be no mistaking me on the road, that is for sure.

That my friends,  is a wrap for today. I love having my phone to take pictures of the highlights, one day it will be fun to look back at the busy life I lived and love that it will be always available for me to enjoy, and who knows maybe even one day, maybe even share these posts with grandkids?? Oh yea, first by sons have to get married, have to want to get married. I am crossing my fingers and toes it happens sooner than later! Hope your week is going well, until next time……..

I always have a fun laugh at your love of ginger jars……and I remind my husband I am not the only soul on earth possessed by these lovely icons of blue and white! The cute blue and white car is just too fun and cute. If I had that car, I would get a thousand giggles, but who cares….it’s blue and white! 😉 Love, love, love all your inspiration. Thank you!

Where do I begin? That apt you are working on is incredible love the classic design, it will look beautiful forever, lucky clients! My sister was at High Point and noticed a turn more towards traditional again, made me very happy.

I love the blue/white car and violin, I can see why she thought of you. Also your gift wrapping skills could make one great book on how to wrap up gifts. I really hope you will seriously consider a book, Tina. I know it would be an instant best seller. Enjoy your blog immensely.

Do you ever sleep?! I am so amazed at everything that you are involved in and have time to go into the city or host a small dinner party. You are like the Energizer Bunny!

Loved seeing all those Staffordshire Dog ornaments; can’t wait to receive mine.

I love the green chinoiserie paper and raffia bow! It is darling! You wrap so beautifully!
That car is perfect! I can see you scooting around in that meeting new customers. You’d put a smile on everyone’s face as you drove along.
I puddled my new drapes in my master and love the soft, elegant look. My daughter wondered what I would do when closing them. Ha! I told her I had no intention of closing them as I like to wake up with the morning light but if I did, for whatever reason, only I would see them messy. Loving your new project especially the lacquered walls in the library.
Life through your iPhone is fun! A little of this, a smattering of that!

OMG—Is the blue lacquered room Walt Frasier’s “Clyde ” apartment? There’s a large picture of him hanging over the sofa. He was a famous NY Knick’s basketball player and captain of the team during the 70’s along with Bill Bradley, ( a Rhodes Scholar and later senator), Willis Reed, (former captain) Earl “the pearl ” Monroe, Phil Jackson, Dave Debusschere and Jerry Lucas.
If so, I’m in awe. We had season tickets for years because they were such a great team at that time. What a beautiful job you’ve done with that blue lacquered room. I loved it from the moment you introduced it to us and if it’s his apartment OMG!!!

I love your post!! Beautiful pictures, they can always be guaranteed to calm me and let me dream a little.
thank you 🙂

Again, Tina, you’ve sent a couple of inspirations for my retirement apartment — gorgeous dark blue walls with white woodwork — as well as furniture arrangement with just a few choice pieces. Thank you! ~ Jo

What a great post, Tina. Your “Random Musings” are my favorite. Thanks for the entertaining tips!
