Hello and happy Sunday! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. The weather has been just beautiful last few days, and though we are getting some rain today, I am not fretting as its good for everything blooming. Bring it on! I am just so happy to be able to finally fling open the windows and put away all the winter wear. Spring is here to stay and I am going to make the most of the warmer months, that we waited a long long time for. Onward to this Sunday’s post-

1 A STUNNING AND WELCOMING NYC APT. Gramercy Park happens to be one of my favorite areas in the city and I always said, if we ever moved back, I would have wanted to be on Gramercy Park or up in Carnegie Hill. I think this apt is done so well. It is a great example of the “new traditional” that you hear of all the time.

Classic principles updated with more modern touches like the lacquered paint, modern art, pops of color….just a beautifully layered elegant space that very much reflects the new traditional. Classic but current. . Click here to read more over at Veranda magazine.

2 A LIGHT AND DELICIOUS SHRIMP SCAMPI I have referenced us losing the “pandemic poundage” and watching what we eat. All those later afternoon cheese and cracker binges, those comfort food “must haves”, they kind of caught up with us:)

So now we are trying to be much more mindful with our eating and eating healthy. One great go to which I make weekly is this lower calorie shrimp scampi. No sticks of butter for this one, though admittedly anything taste better with a stick of butter! Most scampi recipes call for shrimp being drenched in a sea of butter, though it does taste good, no one really needs that much.

This involves a smidgen in comparison, a little olive oil, plenty of lemon juice, salt and red pepper (the zest of the lemon juice and kick of red pepper really livens up the flavors) The zucchini stands in place of pasta and you know what, you will be amazed at how flavorful it is, you do not feel like you are skimping or missing out one bit.

This is so easy and really satisfying and I can pretty much assure you, you will love it too!

2 lbs of shrimp (de veined and shells off)

1 whole lemon cut in half

Several garlic cloves cut into thin slivers ( I use about 5)

Zucchini noodles or 2 zucchinis sliced

3 TBSP butter

3 TBSP olive oil

Sea salt and crushed red pepper

Add 2 tbsp of butter butter and 2 tbsp of olive oil to skillet, lightly sauté the garlic cloves for about 5 minutes. Once done add rinsed shrimp and cook until done (about 5-6 minutes). Add salt, red pepper and squeeze half the lemon over the shrimp. Put in a dish and set aside.

In same pot add rest of butter and olive oil and saute the zucchini for about 4-5 minutes until cooked. Do not overcook as mushy zucchini is not very appetizing. Gently fold in the shrimp to the zucchini, add a dash of olive oil and add more lemon juice. Finish with a sprinkle of red pepper and serve. Bon appétit!

5 AN EXCITING COLLABORATION! You may have read that Carolyne Roehm and I have decided to collaborate.  I have long admired her style and when she became a customer, it was a thrill.

A common love of many things brought us together- everything  from flowers, to table settings, nature, elegant interiors and our insatiable love of blue and white but of course:) We have had such fun planning and playing for the last few months and will start with a small “capsule collection” of some gorgeous dinnerware and gift wrap! It is gorgeous.

Who knows what might be next…..All I can say I am totally smitten with what we have dreamed up and I cannot wait to share with you in the near future! Stay tuned…..

6 MY NEW EUCALYPTUS TOPIARIES! I am so excited over these little trees!! I was looking for a pretty plant to place on either side of my office door. Thwarted by no window therefore no sunlight made the options very limited. So from a trusted vendor i ordered these 4 ft eucalyptus trees and crossed my fingers.

Well, they certainly did not disappoint. Not one bit, these ere fabulous looking and actually really lifelike (far more than I expected even down to the seeded berries.  Best part is they will always look green and healthy, no water required!  I like that the branches are on flexible metal so you can easily bend them to get the desired shape. Great height and used our new midsize fishbowls with them. Click here for more info

Don’t look too closely into my office, where things are in a disarray. We are in major cleanup mode and will soon be ready to take some pics to show you our much improved “after” warehouse/office.

7  SUNDAY’S SURVEY I need your opinion as we work on a few design decisions for upcoming seasons. Working on pumpkin and bunnies, we are sold out of most pieces of both the bunnies and pumpkins and we are bringing them back. We are going to add a second color to the pumpkins and to the bunnies in addition to the blue/white. This is where you come in!

Need your opinion……as you always are so good at helping me make up my mind when I am wavering. Cannot do all colorways (thought I would love to as the minimum quantities are very big numbers so it’s two colorways, definitely the blue/white and ? Need your input-

Besides blue and white, what other colorway would you love to see the bunnies done in most? (pick one)

And same for the pumpkins, besides the blue and white, which colorway would you like to see the pumpkins in? We are also adding a fourth pumpkin design this year.

I love the color of your office doors and trim. Please let me know what color that is and who is the manufacturer? Thanks so much. Also, that wallpaper is so beautiful. I would love to know who makes that as well.

So excited to see what comes from your collaboration with Carolyn Roehm. This is a perfect kismet of style.

What an exciting collaboration for you Tina. Pretty spectacular. Shrimp scampi recipe looks scrumptious 😋

Love love the new eucalyptus 4’ trees. What are the dimensions of the width” when fluffed out?
You mention they fit in your medium fish bowl. What is that size? I have a tight walkway in a hall I’d love them for.

So Lovely! I am new with Enchanted Home!…. and excited about it! Your taste… is mine… as well… Kindred spirits…. Interested in what your future brings…

Always look forward to reading your posts! I would love to see just white porcelain bunnies. I wanted one for my hearth/buffet for Easter and could only find the ceramic ones that don’t look as polished.
