Hello, happy Sunday and a happy first day of summer as well. And speaking of happy’s, a very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Wishing a  very special Father’s Day to my own dad and my husband, both exemplary ideals of what and who a father should be. I am doubly blessed and not a day goes by that I don’t realize that.

Parenthood is not always easy, full of unbelievably high high’s  tempered with plenty of hiccups of variable degrees along the way. So hats off to anyone who parents a child (old or young) and knows of the trials and tribulations. Everyone deserves a special day to be recognized and I am happy to celebrate all the strong father figures in my own life today!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Summer is flying by and before you know it, it will be July 4th. Here in Palmetto Bluff, the decorations are already up and there is a celebratory energy in the air.  Onward to this Sunday’s post….

1 PALMETTO BLUFF HIGHLIGHTS Was able to escape to PB for a few much needed “down time days” and though it’s never long enough, I was grateful for it to happen at all:) The beauty is just hard to put into words, and of course the most beautiful part is always Mr. Duke! When I say it’s like escaping to a little sliver of heaven, I am not exaggerating. Just ask anyone who has been.

2 STUNNING NEW WALLPAPER ON MY RADAR I love wallpaper and all the possibilities it holds to really change a space. Few things can transform a room like wallpaper magically can! I think this new addition from Quadrilles beautiful line of papers is stunning, especially loving that soft blue. I could see this in a powder room or a bedroom wall. Beautiful! 3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST This round up subconsciously represents my love of beautiful homes, of all varieties. So many pretties to share-

4 A FABULOUS AND EASY COCKTAIL This is new and so so good. Very easy to make, I like it because its not too sweet. I tend to favor a citrus flavored cocktail that is not sugary sweet. Found over at Straight to the Hips Baby. I need to add edible flowers next time:) A great party drink!

This is for one cocktail so increase measurements accordingly

2 ounces freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice

1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 ounces of Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice Gin

1.5 ounces simple syrup, homemade or store-bought (used less than this)

1 generous handful fresh green basil

ice

Garnish of pink grapefruit rounds, grapefruit zest, and edible flowers.

5 GORGEOUS CUSTOMER PHOTOS I am always so floored and impressed seeing how you use our products in your home. So much creativity and inspiration! Here is our latest batch of customer photos….

6 A SIMPLE AND ELEGANT DESSERT HACK This is so easy and looks quite elegant, I must say. Take your favorite simple store bought cake, grab a 3-4″ glass, a carton of berries and powdered sugar. That is all you need to take a mundane ordinary boxed cake to a beautiful individual mini cakes that look like you slaved over them:)

7  SUNDAY’S SURVEY An easy poll that requires just a few seconds, no brainstorming today!  Always curious to see which style of decorating you  most  relate to/what style appeals. I am a hybrid of two of these so you get to choose two. This should be interesting, I find myself evolving  but staying true to what I love.

Always the highlight of my Sunday, love all of your Palmetto Bluff pictures. We have never been but I have a girls weekend planned in October with six girlfriends who are scattered around the country and we’re so excited.

Love the hack and I’m going to try it maybe even today for Father’s Day!😊

Tina, I love the simple, yet elegant looking dessert. And looking at Palmetto Bluff pictures feels like a mini vacation. Thank you for showing my Summer Breakfast photo (the one with the grapefruit) on today’s post. What a surprise to see it on Seven on Sunday! BTW, I did feature your Seven on Sunday on my post yesterday, Saturday Meanderings. It is something I look forward to every Sunday.
