Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend over there. Here, summer is flying by and I cannot believe we are near the end f July. Where’s that pause button! Its been nuts here trying to keep my sanity with the craziness that Covid caused the worldwide supply chain.

It’s feast or famine, we got in 3 containers in one week and needless to say it was mayhem (in a good but exhausting way). I ended up not being able to take some of the time off that I was really hoping to but no complaints. I am just relieved that things are once again moving! Trying to make the most of these fleeting summer weekends:) Onward to this Sunday’s post.

1 NEED YOUR OPINION Working on a new collection of mirrors. I am loving the way this one is coming out, so delicate and pretty. It will be offered in four colorways. Shown here is the pale green with floral, will also be offered in black/gold and now trying to make up my mind about the two remaining colors. Here is where you come in, would love your input. Imagine these colors in this design below. Thoughts (check all that apply)

2 HAMPTONS HIGHLIGHTS Have not gone out to the Hamptons this summer nearly as much as I normally do but had a fun day with out of town visitors. Just a few of the pretty highlights….

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Such a pretty round up that sums up the beauty of summer, summer travel and all around prettiness.

4 ONE SPECTACULAR WEDDING WITH OUR PRODUCTS! We were delighted to work with this talented group who purchased several of our products for this most gorgeous wedding. I loved seeing how they used our chinoiserie trays, wicker jars and porcelains. Such talent out there! This was too beautiful to not share. And just wait till you see the video at the end!

Makes me so anticipate the day when one of my boys will be getting married:) Hope they will let me help:) These are the vendor credits for this amazing event

Love seeing our tole trays and wicker ginger jars on one of the reception tables

And how gorgeous does our soft green tole lamp look here!

Her dress is just beyond, that blue bow!

5 GORGEOUS HANDPAINTED OYSTER SHELLS A friend of a good friend of mine started this company and I must say these are just exquisite little gems. Painted oyster shells have become “a thing” and Leah’s attention to detail is not to be overlooked. Such beautiful artistry here, what fun to start a collection of these! 6. A NEW COCKTAIL FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION I first was drawn to trying this because it looked so darn pretty but then the taste blew me away. Soooo good and refreshing, light and floral, it is heavenly. An absolute must keep recipe that will be on my short list going forward! This was found over at Spices in my DNA…….its fabulous!

Rosé Lemonade Elderflower Sangria

This Rosé Lemonade Elderflower Sangria is the most refreshing summer cocktail! It’s super easy to make, only 5 ingredients, and is easily multiplied to serve a crowd! All you need is dry rosé, freshly squeezed lemon juice, a touch of simple syrup for sweetness, elderflower liquer, and a splash of seltzer. Absolutely delicious and dangerously good!

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces rosé*
  • 1 ounce elderflower liqueur

  • 1 ounce simple syrup*
  • splash of seltzer water
  • sliced strawberries
  • lemon slices
  • fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with crushed ice. Add a lemon slice and a few strawberry slices. I like to push them down a little bit too. Add the rosé, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup and stir to combine. Add a splash of seltzer water and stir again. Top with more sliced strawberries and a sprig of fresh mint. Enjoy!

7  SUNDAYS SURVEY Can you believe we are nearly at the end of July! This summer has flown, maybe because its been a lot more work than play for me. What’s your frame of mind regarding going into fall? For me, going into my favorite season of all sounds amazing with a capital A. I live for fall! Hopefully Covid will be fully under control by then, as that is the only thing I can see putting a serious dampener on this glorious season. How about you?

Don’t miss the straws in the photo of the green toile lamp! If anyone knows where to source them please say so. Darling!!!

Since the mid-1980s at our annual Christmas party, I have made a punch out of Rose wine, canned frozen lemonade and strawberries. I mix the wine with the lemonade and freeze an ice ring out of it too to keep it cold and not dilute it—I put strawberries in the ice ring. The frozen lemonade is already sweetened so no need to add any simple syrup. It is always a HUGE hit.

All of your content in this post is beautiful, but, oh my-that wedding is spectacular! And, the cocktail is a must try!!
