**Not unlike many businesses and entities, the platform I publish my blog on seems to be having a bit of a breakdown and my posts are not publishing at 9am as they should, trying to figure this out but it is not our doing. Comments are also not being posted until many hours later (strange).  We need to be patient, patience seems to be the key word for these last few years**

Hello friends, hope you are having a wonderful weekend! We are enjoying the most wonderful stretch of beautiful weather. We have had a busy weekend, a few dinners, a boat outing, and getting together with out of town friends. We need to make these summer weekends count because they are flying by. It was nice to have some down time as it was an exceptionally hectic and stressful week and I am glad it’s behind me.

I cannot lie, I am actually excited for fall as its my most favorite season. When I was in the market on Friday, however, seeing two huge aisles with Halloween merchandise was pushing it for me, too. much and too soon!  Onto this weekend’s post……

1 A WONDERFUL NEW BOOK I received James T Farmers book the other day and immediately found myself sitting down with a cup of coffee to take it all in. What a fabulous book from cover to cover. I was also overjoyed to see some of our products in it, our basket weave flatware, our etched hurricanes and cane hurricanes! Made it doubly thrilling!

Seriously pretty, he takes you through the seasons and features various tablescape and menu ideas, with a bit of interior design and gardening/flowers thrown in for good measure. A wonderful gift idea too! You can purchase on Amazon or his own website,  it is like stepping into another era where things are all about home, family and entertaining. Click here to orders yours.

2 A GORGEOUS FEATURE I loved seeing some of our porcelains make the front cover of the latest edition of Entertain and Celebrate. I mean if this doesn’t make you excited for fall……

3 SNEEK PEEK INTO MY NEXT CONTAINER Just some of the beautiful pieces coming in on one of our next containers. This is all about spectacular planters! Cannot wait! These will be here around Sept. 18th, we will hold a presale in a few weeks.

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Just pure beauty this weekend….

5 NEW RECIPE ALERT! Not sure what has come over me but in the last few months I have rekindled my love affair with cooking. Lighter, healthier meals but lots of good ones.

I cannot even tell you how insanely delicious this was. I made it up but it is now going to be on my weekly rotation for dinner. The best part is you can skip the pasta if you are like me, and trying to watch it. Though I did a “taste test” with a few bites and it was out of this world!! I had just the shrimp and a big salad and it was so good.

What you need-

1.5 lbs of x large shrimp de veined and clean ( I like the 26/30 or the 16/20 size)

Chopped garlic

3 cloves garlic slivered

3 TBSP butter

Olive oil

2 med very ripe tomatoes or 1 large (or one large carton of egg tomatoes)

Fresh basil (a small cluster) chopped

Juice of half a lemon

1 box spaghetti or thin linguine

Freshly grated parmigiano

To make the shrimp scampi- I like to do this ahead of time and keep in fridge for an hour or two. Add about 3-4 TBSP of chopped garlic and 4 TBSP of olive oil, salt and pepper to cleaned shrimp. Season with salt and pepper and crushed red pepper to your liking. Mix in well and put in refrigerator.

Take a large pot with salted water and cook pasta to al dente, generally 7 minutes. Even if it has a bit of bite, it will still continue cooking once drained and mixed in the mixture. Drain when done and set aside.

Take shrimp scampi and coat a skillet with 2 TBSP of butter, add shrimp scampi and sauteè for approx 6-8 min *until thoroughly cooked.  Set aside and in same skillet, coat with a little olive oil, add your chopped tomatoes and cook on medium heat (about 4-5 minutes) . Add salt and pepper, then add basil towards the end. Mix well while on medium heat and add the lemon juice. Gently fold in the cooked shrimp and add final TBSP of butter. Add grated parmigiano to the mix and for a minute cook on high.

Add pasta and using tongs,  mix pasta into mixture until fully coated. Serve right away and add a little basil and extra parmigiano on top, sit back to the rave reviews.

6 THEY ARE HAPPENING!!!!! I am sooo excited over these urns, I can hardly contain myself. These cannot come in a moment too soon. I have just the spot for four of them. So these are in the manufacturing process and we should have them here early October, fingers are crossed.

We will be holding a presale on thees in the coming week. This is a great opportunity for both us and you. It will help us gauge quantities and colors and you will be able to take advantage of special presale pricing. I cannot make up my mind which color I love more. Can you?

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY So something we have been working on is introducing an exclusive small curated rug collection. We would start small as this is a big investment but I am not always seeing what I want to see and recognize the value of a strong price point. Everyone needs rugs! And I am quite taken with these fabulous cotton natural jute rugs as a start. Would love your opinion. Like all that we import, we would offer the best pricing and I think you would be thrilled with the quality and pricing:)

I already have a few spots where I would put these right away! So….as I often ask of you, would love your opinion. These are neutrals and i love the herringbone and don’t have to tell you what I feel about blue and white!

Worked on these gorgeous pumpkins a little later than ideal. I would get these in late Sept/first week of October. Thoughts? Debating if it’s too late in the season, I am torn as I love them so. Need your input!

Great post as usual! I’m going to try the shrimp recipe. Yum! I live on Hilton Head and went to the Paris Market in Palmetto Bluff on Friday. Thought about you while driving through the Bluff!

Poised & ready to purchase 2 pedestals & urns – HUNTER GREEN. Please & thank you. They are fabulous!

Love the rugs but make sure if you offer them they come in large room sizes like 11 x 14 or larger. These are harder to find and i think as a retired designer you will offer something of quality that is not as easy to find Love all of the merchandise you offer..

Yes! I really must do the shrimp-tomato dish! Hubby will insist on the spaghetti, however. Thoughts on the rugs: I’d choose the blue design. And James T. Farmer is my new garden writer favorite; I have a couple of his books already.

Wonderful Blog today. Love the recipe and will definately try it this week. Could you please tell me where you purchased the magazine Entertain & Celebrate. I can seem to find it online. Thank you

I really like the new urns and stands that you are going to have available soon!
Would you please provide the dimensions so I can start thinking where I can place
some if ordered?

Thanks so much for your wonderful posts! I really enjoy them!

Tina I’ve had problems getting your post I don’t know if there’s been an issue on your end?

I cannot even tell you how many things I’m in love with from those urns and the pumpkins to all of your new things coming in, this is like beauty overload!!!

You have the most beautiful line of products😊😊

Love the new rugs but cotton souls too easy. I will wait fir other fibers. But designs are great.
Love the pumpkins. Would worry if too late. First week of October is the very latest for me. Hope that’s achievable.

Love all the new, beautiful items; especially the planters. However. I continue to check on the pewter chargers. I have been able to order once and they were sold out before I completed my purchase. Please make these available again! Thank you.

Hi! Love looking at that shrimp recipe! YUM! Is there a way to print your recipes or is MY “program” preventing it????
I feel like I am in a doctors waiting room, penning down a recipe so I don’t have to do the dreaded tearing out the recipe from a magazine ;-D Also the pumpkins are JUST lovely! I want one (or 2 or 3!) please manufacture them! They make you happy just looking at them! I (and MANY others also) decorate for Fall right up to Thanksgiving since in N.E. Fall is our “special season” before the horrid inconvenience of snow/ice! Also, I have items in my shopping cart (HAD) and was working up an order so did not order right away and X2 now they flew out of my cart(bag) How long can I keep items carted while building up an order???
Pumpkin Happy, S. Marie

Rugs are nice—however—we ordered a very expensive jute/sisal rug from a high end retailer a few years back. When it arrived, the odor was absolutely dreadful. They took it back but our designer told us that this was not the first time she encountered problems with imported jute and sisal.
Just a cautionary….

The reason I voted “on the fence” about the small rugs is twofold: 1) If they don’t stay flat they are a tripping hazard, and 2) do they stay in place? Small rugs if they aren’t of a certain weight, tend to scoot around, and this is one of my pet peeves. Also a safety concern.

I am so excited about the rugs and I do hope they will be a go! These are something that is so needed in the marketplace. I also adore the new pumpkins and look forward to ordering some whenever they are available. Talk about hitting it out if the park, in my opinion you have!

hi tina, this was such a fun post to read. Your product line is hitting it out of the park!

between the rugs, the pumpkins and the urns I don’t know which I love more but I know I need all of them in my life😊😊

This was an amazing post. I Love James Farmer’s books. Tina you hit the ball out of the ballpark with the urns and pedestals. I agree, that it is difficult to choose one color. I’m a huge fan of black but the greens are gorgeous. Looking forward to trying this recipe—thank you!!

Thirding Nancy’s suggestion for larger rugs! At that size (I would buy an 11×14 or even 12×15) there are not many good options and custom cut rugs are crazy expensive!
