Hello! Hope you are having a great week. Busy week over here, with lots of new things coming in and preparing for fall (crazy as it sounds)! We were due to have a fairly large party Friday but with fie straight days of rain forecasted had o cancel…it was disappointing. We are going to come up with a new date and pray for sunny skies.

On the bright side, my dad is in town which is wonderful. Love having him here, and not sure what he’s doing but he is looking younger and more energetic than ever before! He really is remarkable and from here is tracking to Europe. I have to give him a lot of credit for trying his best to carve a new path but we talk incessantly about how much we miss my mom. At every turn I am reminded of her and it still brings me to bouts of daily tears *but shorter ones! We hope to have him around here a lot this summer.

Anyway here’s a look at the last week or so around here and if there were to be a theme for this post, it would be about the great outdoors, nature and flowers…..

Picked these pink hydrangea from my garden and found these incredible double tulips from Trader Joes’s which are so beautiful….this arrangement is 10 days old!

We got our container with ease in on Tues and I am obsessed over them. Our small lattice footed planters are now amiable in a 8″ an 10″ size!! I want to sprinkle these all over the house…so elegant. These will be part of our big arrival sale on Tuesday.

All kinds of things happening inside my little greenhouse:)

We have been eating this salad every single night with no matter what I make, so delicious! In this case with BBQ chicken and pesto pasta

Most beautiful sunset last night before we get our 5 day rain streak!

Love our new green pagodas shown in our 14″ box planter with faux boxwood ball.

And elsewhere on my patio, planted these Provence planters and our stunning large scallop9ed tole floor planters….love them!

Been watching what I eat last few weeks and this is one of my favorites, white albacore tuna with finely diced red onion, about 3 tbsp of cottage cheese, a bit of salt and pepper, and fresh dill on a bed of lettuce end tomatoes, so good (often add avocado if I have it)

Its melamine season, every night around here

Every Sat and Sun around here is Pickeball day:) Its actually a lot of fun to gather impromptu groups together, I haven’t been able to play but hoping to next week (knee still healing) but even being a speactaor is fun!

A few memories from a fun Father’s Day

And outside, the tomatoes and hydrangeas are both in full bloom

My son remarked how good my asparagus were, I put garlic salt, a balsamic reduction and a little garlic powder and then put them on the grill, they are really tasty.

LOVE our new garden caddy’s (2 sizes) and garden tools in the most sophisticated designs and colors- chinoiserie and a trellis. Will be part of our big arrival sale Tues!

And that is a wrap!! Hope you enjoyed the good and pretty highlights from the last week or so. Wishing everyone a fabulous day, until next time….

Tina, I am so happy for your dad that he is going on with life. I lost my husband a year and a half ago. And it’s really a different wife. I wish I had the courage to go off to Europe but as a woman, I don’t want to go by myself.

Thanks for this beautiful post! All that food is making me hungry for a fresh salad, and it looks like you all had a lovely Father’s Day! I needed something beautiful today, and this was it. Have a wonderful weekend!!

It all looks like the consummate summer spread! Will you share the tomato salad recipe? It is a thing of beauty!!!

love your blog! always love the recipes you share. would you be able to have a recipe tab so they’re all together?
thanks for all you do!

Hi Tina; I just read online if you use aspirin disolved in water and water your tomato plants w/ that mixture tends to keep bugs away…contains type of acid to cleanse them.Look it up for directions and how to….Have not done tomatoes in years as condo bound now… Look it up. I was one who also told you to plant marigolds around their soil Re: fightinging worms. Linda ( a new fan of Enchanted Home )😊
