Hi friends, well we are finally approaching the finish line down in Palmetto Bluff. We are finally down to the last few weeks so buttoning this beautiful cottage up and it can’t come a moment too soon. We hope to get there down there in about a week or two to go through a punch list and finalize a few last minute selections.
Once I am there, I know my wheels will start turning fast and furious! I want to make so many decisions like bedding, accessories, window treatments but really have hesitated to make those decisions until I am there standing in the finished space.
Still lots of aesthetic touches to be done and I just don’t want to do them until I actually am standing in the house. We had no choice but to make many decisions from afar, and did our best but being in on site is of course always optimal. I am just happy we are nearly there……
So let me show you some of the latest….

May not look like much but they started putting in plants, with luck these will grow into a pretty boxwood hedge
Paint getting finished up (side door elevation)
Small patio complete where we will put a BBQ
Both baths upstairs got their countertops now waiting on mirrors and lighting, bath upstairs got a tub…one stop closer!
Not at all, a great picture but fixture above dining room table
Countertops and backsplash got put in….lanterns next!
Mudroom/office
Pretty lighting fixture installed!
Doors got painted (lattice going over these)
Love that window….can’t wait to se this room with the wallpaper
Above tile will be put in small laundry room
For the office/mud room we are still waiting on the lattice which will go on top of the doors then I will wallpaper the entire space, I found these lovely papers through Danika Herrick and going to take the two samples down there with me to make my final decision. Do you have a preference?

You know when I am there, I take pictures of every nook and cranny, these above were sent by our builder but gives you the idea of what’s happening. Can’t wait to get down there and let my imagination run wild with what we have left to do (a lot).

Gorgeous, Tina!!! I can’t WAIT for you to truly make it a home. I believe your plan is to eventually build a main house, and have a cottage for each of your sons, and this house is one of the cottages, correct?? What a wonderful idea! More pictures please!!
Just noticed that the header on this page says Dairies twice and Diaries under the drawing. My guess is it should be Diaries. I enjoy watching your beautiful home evolve.
Would love to know sources for the tile and also what makes of appliances you chose. I am beginning to build a small house…downsizing….and the info would be so helpful.

How I wish you could come over to Cincinnati and design a home for us. You do a fabulous job on every home you touch, and it’s so beautiful. I’m happy you’ll have one home done. Then your new home will be renovated, and you can enjoy both places! It’s fun to see your progress. We’re always adding or renovating one of our homes. We have three, and it seems like my husband always wants to renovate or add on a wing etc. So watching you gives me such inspiration. Tina, you are so gifted!!!

Please share the color of the white paint you used on your kitchen cabinets. Everything is beautiful. Love the tile in the laundry room.
