Good morning, hope you are doing well. We finally have a beautiful day on tap. We have had some crazy, wacky weather. Incredibly hot and humid with severe thunderstorms and seriously strong winds that crop out of almost no where. Its been like something you see on the weather channel and it’s not even August yet!

Looking forward to a much better weather day today and hopefully we will get in a few good games of pickle ball and then have guests over.  And here we go with this weeks Seven on Sunday…

1 MY WEEKLY FRESH FLOWERS Had a few really stressful days and when under stress I often either go into my garden and/or go flower shopping. I picked up these beautiful white hydrangeas, some ranunculus and pretty white stock. Then I spotted these stunning Cityline Mars variegated hydrangeas snd couldn’t resist them. The colors are just outstanding (hope to grow some next year as they are hard to find) and, yes there made me feel a bit better.

2 SNEAK PEEK AT OUR NEW INCREDIBLE ORMOLU GINGER JAR WITH CAROLYNE ROEHM You saw it here first! These majestic jars with the tulip design to match our new dinnerware have exquisite ormolu detailing and are in production. We hope to have them early Sept! Will come in two sizes, 18″ and 30″ and we will offer a presale. Stay tuned…

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Such prettiness…..

4 LATEST PICKS FROM MY GARDEN I can’t tell you how much I enjoy going out to my garden daily and getting to harvest whatever is ready. Last few days, its been like a tomato festival! We are having some guests over today so bruschetta is on the menu, and big salads daily to make sure we use them (and giving some away) I am experimenting with different varieties but so far the big boy beefsteak is my favorite! I will circle back end of summer to share my personal faves.

If I am home for lunch this is my favorite, lightly breaded flaky white fish (sole or flounder normally) baked instead of fried with a big fresh salad

Yum!

5 A BEAUTIFUL AND DREAMY HOUSE TOUR I really enjoyed this tour. Its a departure from my normal color palette but its so beautifully done, I love the layers and details. A lot of love and passion was poured into this elegant stately home. Wish I could have seen more of the kitchen as its similar to what I plan to do for my reno And that dining room…swoon!

6 SMASHED BROCCOLI So I tried this the other night and it was really really good! Very easy too. Family approved, even my boys wanted more. Note to self, double the recipe next time!

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED-

1 big head of broccoli or broccoli florettes

1/4 cup of olive oil

1 tbsp paprika

3-4 crushed garlic cloves

Freshly grated pargmigano

HOW TO MAKE-

Cook broccoli until al dente (not too soft). Drain and put on baking sheet lightly sprayed with a cooking oil or a bit of olive oil. Take the bottom of a glass and gently press on each Florette until faltered. Mix olive oil, garlic and paprika in a small dish then drizzle or brush onto broccoli. Then add a generous amount of grated parmigiana to top. Put in preheated oven 375 degrees and cook for approx 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!

Thank you, Tina. Your Seven on Sunday has always been my favorite. I look forward to all your posts. Definitely trying the recipe. Your big boy beefsteak tomatoes are my favorite too.
