Hi friends, can you believe its New Years Eve and my very last Seven on Sunday for 2023! First I want to say that I received a notification from the company that oversees votes for our contests. They informed me that there were disproportionate numbers of votes in certain categories that raised a red flag.

I almost redid the entire contest (again) but am going to let things be. We have a new system going forward with an extra layer of security which will be implemented for our next contest. That said, I want to announce the winner of the Holiday Love contest-

Congratulations goes to Alexandria for this picture-

Please email [email protected] to claim your prize and provide your shipping details. Thanks to all for partaking in the fun, the pictures bought me much joy over an otherwise anticlimactic Covid Christmas:)

So…its New Year’s Eve! I did not expect to be home recovering from Covid today but that’s where things stand. Have to figure there is a reason for everything. I look forward to a redo for Christmas and New Years for next year:) I want to take this time to wish each of you the happiest, healthiest, merriest New Year.

Among my many blessings, I count my readers and customers among them. Thank you for helping me grow in so many ways, with your continued support and loyalty…it is so incredibly appreciated, more than you know. I wish each of you a wonderful start to this new year. May it be filled with good health (most important of all), love, laughter and peace (we all need more peace in our lives:)

2 and 4 are incidentally my lucky (and favorite numbers) so I am crossing my fingers and hopeful for a great year in 2024. Until next year then…..

1 MY CHRISTMAS DAY TABLE Ironic that I set my Christmas table but was not able to enjoy sitting at it:( But I am just so happy all the cooking got done and my family was able to sit down to a wonderful meal (mine was on a bed tray upstairs)! I enjoyed hearing the accolades for a delicious meals and hearing their laughter and conversation from upstairs brought me a few moments of joy, hearing them happy made me happy.

2 HOLIDAY FLOWERS IN FULL BLOOM I planted a bunch of narcissus and amaryllis weeks before Christmas. Just about all started to bloom right at Christmas which is always such fun for me to watch, but the week after Christmas….they are all in complete full bloom mode and just look so pretty!

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST I could not resist one final round of mostly Christmas inspired pictures, these were just too beautiful to not share! But includedsome other beautiful non Christmas related as well…now begins that “blah” period between New Years and spring!

4 MY FAVORITE EMOLLIENT FOR MY FACE ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER I have bought this three times. I need to preface it by saying I have dry skin so this is a like a Godsend to my face, I use it morning and night. I love this award winning product, its so rich and nourishing! Here is what the website says about it-

The core of the proprietary complex is a blend of nature’s most highly effective ingredients, including natural Astaxanthin (one of nature’s most potent antioxidants), Supercritical Chia (one of nature’s most energy-dense superfoods), shelf-stable Vitamin C Ester, Coenzyme Q10, powerful active botanicals, and some of the most innovative natural ingredients to combat the appearance of aging.

5 THE GILDED AGE Have you seen it (HBO Max)? I had seen it and during my recent week being sick at home rewatched the entire two seasons, and boy  it made the best company and temporarily took me away to fancy ballrooms in Newport to juicy scandals from the bowels of the staff quarters all the way to the opulent residences of the characters (loosely based on real life)

I forgot just how gorgeous, opulent and simply breathtaking this series is. Intriguing, historical and captivating. If you haven’t’ seen it…you must!! I am thrilled HBO announced just las week that season 3 is happening..woo hoo!

5 LOVE THESE BOOTS! I ordered these and adore them but starting to question if we will have cold enough weather and SNOW to wear them! So far its been quite mild. I am sure I will be eating my words sooner than later, but anyway Aquaitalia has a big sale and these re now on sale for almost half off in three colors. Super comfy, warm and good looking…..apres ski or not!  Click here

7 SUNDAY SURVEY When do you take down your tree? There have been years I have kept mine up until Feb. I love it, its beautiful, it makes me happy so why not? This year however since I put it smack in the middle of our foyer, that’s not really an option. So I will take it down probably sometime next week. I know some wait for the Epiphany, others day after Christmas and still others will wait weeks before they take it down, enjoying and savoring that Christmas magic well after the actual holiday. I love the magic of a Christmas tree, even now I put the lights on every morning and night…they just make me happy!

Curious what you do?

A beautiful post, I’m so sorry that you have Covid but what a gorgeous Christmas table you set! we know so many people sick right now I’m just doing my best to stay away as much as possible.!
Love those boots. we are in Montana for three weeks and then we have snow. It’s not nearly wouldn’t normally is.
That is sad that there was some foul play with the con test, while the picture is perfectly nice I don’t think it’s even close to being the winner, just saying….
Happy 2024 Tina!!

no way is that the winning picture!!
thank you for calling out something not being kosher.
love your blog, your humor and attitude not to mention you have the best taste!
hope you feel better soon!

I LOVE a table set with Herend! I just wanted to say that although I do not celebrate Christmas, (please remember those of us in your blog , votes and merchandise), I also enjoy seeing everyone’s Christmas decorations, the creativity involved and the heartfelt sentiment they convey. I myself DO love to decorate my home for winter and the various seasons. So, while I don’t specifically “take down my Christmas decorations”, I keep various “winter-y” touches around my house, until spring. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

What a terrible time to have Covid! But, there is never a good time, is there?
The Gilded Age is an excellent show; I so love that time period! Those fabulous homes and clothes are amazing. Although it takes place in an earlier time period, it’s the American version of Downton Abbey. So happy the show has been renewed for a third season.
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024.

So disappointed to hear about the voting issue. There will always be those whose priorities are in the wrong place. Keep sharing beautiful things that make your followers smile. Wishing you and your family all good things in the new year.

Your table setting was as beautiful as ever, I hope you are feeling better! Seeing your posts made me feel better and I thank You,Tina.

Happy New Year to you and a big thank you for your posts! They add beauty, interest, and inspiration to our life in a very special way.
On the other hand there is something very suspect about the winning photo, unfortunately. Thank you for acknowledging it. Feel better, and blessings to you and your family in the new year!

After that survey about Seven on Sunday ~ I was so afraid it would disappear but I AM SO THANKFUL IT IS STILL HERE!!! Love it so much every Sunday ❤️

Happy New Year Tina! May you and loved ones be blessed with good health and best wishes for peace, good tidings and much joy.
