Hello and happy new year to my treasured and cherished readers, customers and friends! To all who have asked, I am on the upswing (from Covid), which is good news. I am still down and out though, very lethargic, still some dizziness and a slight cough. Astounded at how many have written that have had the same thing happen to them over the holidays. Everyone stay healthy out there! I cannot wait to be back on my feet, hopefully in the next couple of days.

Its hard to believe 2024 is here and I am quite happy about it. While 2023 certainly had its share of good times and happy memories, overall it was not the best year in recent memory. So I look forward to this new chapter and watching it unfold.

I wish each of you a wonderful start to this new year. May it be filled with good health (most important of all), love, laughter and peace (we all need more peace in our lives:)

Sadly, a lot of turmoil both on our own turf and around the world. I will never give up praying for peace both here at home and aboard, so much suffering, its hard to wrap my brain around

The one constant however has been my amazing group of family and friends……forever grateful to each of you for enriching my life and making me feel so loved. I like to share a favorite post from each month of the last year, it’s a fun way to reflect and perhaps these are posts you missed. Onward we go.

Happy New Year Tina!!

Love this post and look forward to visiting several posts that it looks like I missed.

I absolutely love your bucket list, how inspiring.! We own a home in Jackson so I will email you to give you my information if you want any help!

I love the idea of the ball in Vieira, renting a house in Provence and so many other of your ideas I hope you get to achieve each and every one!

My number one thing I want to do is to continue working on my masters then continue with my research (microbiology) and see two of my kids getting married this year (one in Jackson in June)

Wishing you much happiness and good health in 2024!

A few items on my bucket list for 2024 are;

Learn to accept a compliment better from others and not minimize it!
Worry less and enjoy the moment.
Downsize and build a more manageable home
Take a trip to Palmetto Bluff to see what that is all about. Looks stunning!!

1. View the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) in person – although I will be disappointed if there’s just a little green cloud. I want the whole array! 2. Perhaps we can do swapsies between your villa in Provence and my cottage in the Cotswolds! Warmest wishes for the Happiest New Year.

Happy New Year! You have a wonderful list, and it made me think of what I might want to do going forward. I made the usual resolutions, but maybe I need to think trips, experiences and finding good food instead. Thanks, Tina!!

What a fantastic list, if you can even accomplish half of that, you will have lived a very, very full life!!
This put my own bucket list to shame and have me thinking in a whole new direction especially about more travel.
About eight years ago, we rented a huge villa in Tuscany where we held a small engagement party for our son and invited about 20 family members. It was the most incredible trip we’ve ever taken..
Thank you for the gift of your beautiful blog which I always look forward to reading and I want to wish you a very happy healthy new year

Ok, Tina, as to your bucket list ( which I think is entirely wonderful ) the one that easily can be conquered is coming to the Barnes Foundation!!!! I’m from Philadelphia suburbs , grew up going to Barnes when it was a few minutes from my home and next to my brother’s school. The battle over moving it to the city went on for quite some time and was upsetting to so many. It is the most amazing collection of works, come to Philadelphia, be my guest and enjoy, it’s not very far !

We share the same opinion about The Art of the Steal. It is definitley a documentary worth watching.

Dearest Tina
First of all I wish you, Michael and your lovely family a very Happy New Year. May 2024 be healthy happy and peaceful for you all, with many blessings and good times ahead.
I do hope you are a little better from the Covid? It was such a blow for that to happen over the festive season, so hoping you are on the mend now and just glad it hasnt taken your enthusiasm and joie de vivre. Im going to enjoy all the recap posts each evening now all the holiday movies are done. One movie that I love and watched again this time is High Society, the beautiful house reminds me of your previous home and of course the golden age of Hollywood. I am ever the glamorous romantic:)
I love your bucket list too, and of your ideas I can say I have been to Provence in summer, London and France at Christmas, all are wonderful. Does Royal Ascot count for the Kentucky Derby? You would adore it Tina, we used to have the happiest time there as a family with my parents.
Sending my love to you for a Happy New Year
Sally xx
