Good morning! Remember these? Well, thought it would be fun to add them back into the mix every now and then. So todays focus is on home offices, bigger and better than they have ever been. I think since Covid, record numbers of people all over the world realized that working from home was more possible than pre Covid. And many stayed on doing just that, if not via a hybrid method, half in office and half a home.
That’s where the home office comes in and it’s ever present importance within the home. I cannot wait to create my own little home office when we get underway with our renovation. I pulled together a variety of styles today to choose from….so you know the drill, which you would choose! Put those thinking caps on-

So many beautiful spaces! How can you not be more productive in a beautiful space! I could see working out of any one of these. I personally lean towards softer, lighter colors though moodier, darker colors can be really beautiful if the light is right.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great day. Until next time….
PS Tomorrow is our last installment of our epic etched glass sale, you will not want to miss it!
I liked the moodier, cozy vibe in #8. I loved the desk, which was more of a work table with lots of surface space for electronics, files, etc. And i liked the wood tones (too much white cabinetry tiresome — it’s everywhere in our house!). The space is also a good size — not too big but roomy enough toe lots of storage and a pair if “guest chairs”.
I see a major problem with each beautiful design. There’s no computer on any of the desks. I work a lot from home and find it necessary to have two screens, a keyboard and a mouse on my desk. Needless to say, it’s not designer perfect but it’s what we need to work efficiently these days. If you float the desk in the middle of the room, it is almost impossible to have access to enough electrical outlets and there will be a flurry of cords coming in from the desk that are not very attractive. All the cords are also a tripping hazard. Unfortunately, to accommodate all the hardware needs, and to be workable, the desk needs to be against a wall. Sorry!!
I agree with Christy. That is precisely the reason I chose #3. The desk is against the wall, and the room is gorgeous and is very comfortable with the seating area.
I believe that your office space should be personalized to your individual needs. Not everyone needs a desktop computer, or multiple screens. Some people can use a laptop computer for all their needs. I believe your office should fit your personality and bring you joy, that way you can be productive while you’re working at home. Although there were many beautiful offices to choose from, for me personally I liked #3 and #8
Christy, I totally agree. These designs are absolutely lovely but would suggest the desk not only be against a wall but also not facing a window. The glare from a window makes it very difficult for me to easily view the computer screens. Perhaps perpendicular so the window views may still be enjoyed. Another personal requirement would be a deep desk. So, perhaps No. 3 with the desk a smidge deeper.i
Each one of these is prettier than the next, and this is a very timely post, because we are finishing building a new home and for the first time ever, I will actually have my own home office, I am a speech therapist.
I am in love with choice three but some thing about choice 11 really appeals as well.
Gorgeous each and every one!

So many beautiful designs. I definitely could not face a wall—I think facing the entry is important as well. Therefore, a window to the left or right would work nicely. I like using a laptop, it took some getting used to—but I would never go back to a PC. I like the flexibility to move around with my laptop. A comfortable office chair is very important too and I freestanding desk is great! Looking forward to seeing How you create your new office.
Many of these offerings are beautiful to look at but not really practical. I think what you chose really comes down to your personal needs in a Home Office. Pros make a list of clients basic needs first and in doing so often leave some room for add on’s, as often a client may forget something before or during the planning stages, The actual design work comes last; its the icing on the cake, and most cakes turn out differently for each of us even using the same recipe. We all make it our own.
All beautiful spaces, but chose No.9. Clean uncluttered, light from window to one side, comfortable chair for reading, and no open shelving to collect dust. Open book shelves look good, but they are extra work, that is not needed in a work space.
love #5…the space plus the french doors are mentally soothing for me. I can walk out to breathe fresh air and clear my head.
The small spaces would be too claustrophobic for me. I’d be constantly getting a beverage or something to eat just to get out of there. 🤓
Hi – you have gorgeous designs to choose from! WOW!! Like many I scrambled to create a good office environment for me during COVID. This gave me great insight for what i wanted when we built our new home. I’m a Senior Executive at a Fortune 500 company whose days are long. So a functional but beautiful space was a must. I love glass doors, my desk facing the door and perpendicular to a window mostly centered in the room. I use a laptop on a laptop stand (the best invention) at my desk. The floor was wired with the right number of outlets for lamp, laptop, headphones. I use a credenza behind the desk and it has hardwired WiFi. I keep a monitor and my personal laptop there. My desk has drawers but does NOT touch the floor to keep an airier vibe but drawers are a must for me. I’ve got a beautiful piece of art behind my desk that greets me and makes me smile. You’ve got such beautiful taste – just figuring out how you do your business work and manage your personal lives is the key. The design wil flow from there. Good luck

I mean, how do you choose just one? I know you’ll take your favorite elements from several and create something fabulous that I can’t wait to see.

I like a L shape built in desk. It works best with how i work.
