Hi there, hope this finds you well and enjoying a lovely spring weekend! Been busy over here, doing some photography, seeing friends and may try to fit in a game of pickle ball. Finally our weather has calmed down, we had hurricane like winds with rain and it was not pretty. Today,  the sun is partially out and the wind is gone, woo hoo!

We will hold a final epic etched glass warehouse finale on Tuesday and that will be the only post this week as I will be traveling to Amsterdam for the tulip festival! I look forward to sharing all the highlights with you. Be sure to check back on Tuesday, the deals are impossible to beat and its the last sale that we will hold on the etched glass.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and relaxing Sunday. Let’s get started with my Seven on Sunday…..

1. OUR EXTRA JUMBO WICKER GINGER JARS I am so in love with these!!! These are massive, 32″ tall and about 20″ at their widest point. I see these and I think party! I think these might make the Guinness book of world records for largest wicker ginger jars…go big or go home!

Amazing even on the ground, as they are that big. Offered in three great colors. I will incorporate these for the next dinner party, party, or  who know’s maybe even an engagement party or wedding that we have coming this way. Love them! Click here to see them

Just go give you an idea of scale!!

I put them outside next to the new custom lattice bars and wowza!

And here’s the natural!

2. SHES BIRDIE I think this nifty little device which can go on your keychain is a must have. Let’s face it…our world is a dangerous place. This is like having a fire alarm on your key chain. God forbid you are in a position where you feel vulnerable and it can happen anywhere, this will surely deter an offender. Ordered mine! Click here to order yours

3 INSTAGRMAS OF INTEREST What a beautiful and inspiring round up this weekend!

4 A FUN HOUSE TOUR  Enjoyed this video on this carefully curated home, the way the homeowner doesn’t shy away from color, prints, layering..its all done so well. Plus bonus points for the fact that she did so much of it on her own:)

5 WEDDING/ENGAGEMENT IDEAS. I started playing around with ideas on a mood board for an eventual wedding/engagement for my son and his fiancé. We are talking about doing something here at our home which could be amazing, given the grounds, that we are on the water, and have a gorgeous formal garden. I started with this moodboard and must say I love the direction…..

6 A GOOD LAST MINUTE DESSERT HACK If you are ever in a pinch and need a pretty and super easy, fast dessert. look no further.  Just grab a store-bought cake, a container of berries, and a little powdered sugar. Using a round glass cut out mini cakes (about 3-4″) Add berries and sprinkle powdered sugar lightly over them. Put on a pretty plate/dish and you are set.  Looks so pretty and takes seconds!

7 SUNDAYS SURVEY Good ol’Amazon..how dependent are you on it? I have to admit, I am increasingly reliant on it for everything from  paper-towels to printer ink, rain hats to a suitcase recently! Yes, they really do have it all and though I love to patronize local shops, Amazon makes it all so easy..almost too easy! So, how much do you depend on Amazon?

hi Tina, what a beautiful post, I also am in love with those magnificent ginger jars. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Now my head is busy thinking of how and where I might incorporate them😊

Love the dessert hack, so smart!

The concept you created for your son’s eventual wedding is absolutely magnificent!

We are headed to the Netherlands on the 22. I am so looking forward to it. We are at our cottage in Ireland so an easy flight. I have never been to the Netherlands so looking forward to a fun week. The garden Kukenhoff is going to be a highlight. First two nights we are staying in Lisse.
Have fun!

Happy Sunday, the ginger jars are spectacular, and I love them in the natural wicker. I’m thinking they’d be pretty in our sun room.
I have enjoyed following Gail Disner on Instagram and find her not only gifted in her passion to renovate her home, but her personality is wonderful! Very nice share!
I’m excited to see your photos from your Amsterdam trip. What a blessing! Wishing you safe travels and a beautiful time.

Happy Sunday Tina. First, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I look for it every day and Sundays are like a routine for me, my kids and hubs knows not to talk to me while I have my coffee and read your post, my version of a Sunday newspaper:-)

Holy ginger jar! I am so in love with those huge jars. They look. incredible on your bar too. I need a pair for our garden/sunroom. Are they in stock now?

Love discovering new Instagram accounts through you and yes, Amazon is at my door a minimum of 3 days a week. Just the world we live in now.

We were in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago. It was amazing, second time there. Not sure where you are staying but we were at the Waldorf this time and it was fantastic in every way.
The gardens take your breath away. It rained a lot so bring a raincoat and hat! It was also quite cool so layering is the way to go there, and needless to say make sure your shoes are comfortable, I lived in Birkenstocks and sneakers (except for going out to dinner). Even in the rain, the gardens were the most beautiful I have ever seen. I couldn’t stop taking pictures, haha.
Look forward to hearing all about your trip. Btw, those huge ginger jars are absolutely spectacular. I need to find a place to put them:)

WHAT A TREAT…OMG, the “HOMEWORTHY” was OUTSTANDING!! Best I’ve watched. And, I wondered if you might follow “Betty Beardon Pardee”…& there it was!!! Hah! Newport treats!! THANKS FOR ALL OF THIS & on to “cutting out personal cakes!!!” franki

Good Morning, Tina,
I love the wicker ginger jars!! I’ll have to wait for your sale. Thank you for the store bought cake hack. I’m “making” it for my book group ( reading Killers of the Flower Moon).

Amazon’s labor practices are loathsome; I use them but always look somewhere else either in person or online first.

Congratulations on your son’s engagement. Wishing the young couple every happiness.

your mood board is absolutely beautiful. I love every single detail so elegant.!

The ginger jars amazing! Great job and fun idea for the cakes.

Amazon is almost daily occurrence in this busy household with five children under 15!

I love the video of the home tour, can you provide her Instagram account? I love to follow some of her dyi projects

Hi Tina, hope you’ll love the Keukenhof, I have been one of your customers for years and live in Lisse (near the Keukenhof) and Atlanta. Please make sure you enjoy our Bloemencorso on Saturday afternoon, it starts in Noordwijk (by the sea) and stops in Haarlem were you can enjoy all the beautiful float cars until Sunday.
Have fun and fall in love with our beautiful Nederland.

A better last minute dessert hack:: my daughter went to a large dinner party where the hosts provided space and all the guests brought food. My daughter provided the cake and berries but also cream for whipped cream, which she whipped in the hosts’ kitchen and the guests covered their delicious dessert.

My dear Tina
I just want to wish you a most wonderful time whilst you visit the tulip festival, and Amsterdam. Im so delighted you are going on such a beautiful trip, especially one from your bucket list 🙂 It will be lovely.
I am sad to say I have not yet been to the Netherlands, as it is just 1hr20 from here in England. As well as the tulips, I have always loved the Dutch Masters flower paintings and of course, almost all the flowers I use in my floristry come from the markets in Holland. You will inspire me with all your pictures, and Im sure you will bring inspiration home as well..
It does rain a lot over here at the moment and is cool-ish. you may be glad of a puffer coat and umbrella.
Have a super time !
Sending much love
Sally xx
