Forewarning..….this might be the longest random musings post ever and I am kind of all over the map on this one. Sit down, relax and stop the clock for a few extra minutes! This is what happens when I am cooped up,for 5 days, having been sick and have only the computer as my entertainment:) Alas after ALL this reading there is a special “treat” for each and every one of you at the end!

Hello and happy Thursday!  Phew…what a week. Spending most of it sick was not exactly what I think of as a great way to pass a precious week of summer. One major perk was having no appetite for 5 days, unheard of for me (uncharted territory)  and getting lots of computer time to visit all my favorite blogs!  I am well rested and  90% better, hopefully filled my “sick dues” and won’t get sick for awhile! Hope you have had a great week and I don’t know about you…but I am floored that we are already in August. Wheres the pause button? I mean don’t get me wrong, fall is my favorite season, I think of walking amidst crisp colorful leaves, big vats of yummy soups brewing, cool mornings with fresh morning frost on the ground, and of course chunky cashmere sweaters and scarves but seriously the summer is flying!!!!!!  So as usual I choose to talk about random things on this musings posts so lets get started shall we?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing from my readers and am fortunate to get lots of mail from you, its the ultimate validation for me as a blogger to hear from you! I also love to get pictures from you showcasing various things you have bought from my shop and how you are displaying them. This is such a treat for me, you have no idea!! In fact if you haven’t had a look at “Your Enchanted Homes” page on my online store, you must take a peek, I am like a proud mama but seriously my buyers have AMAZING taste!!!!!!! Click here to take a look! So please keep them coming, because you never know when I might announce a contest! Email me with your picture of your enchanted home to [email protected].  Here’s a sneak peek  at some of the beauties gracing the page of “Your Enchanted Homes”…..

What can I say…I am just so proud! Want to see more….click here!

So…….have been on a reading binge lately which is how I seem to do it. Either go through a dry spell and read nothing or read five books in a month. Finished reading The Red Book (thought it was fair) and read The Devils Den which was fascinating if you enjoy reading about wall street (I do). The next two books on my agenda are The Darlings and  An Unexpected guest, both recommended to me. Anything good on your nightstand that is worth sharing? I loved The Paris Wife, for anyone who is considering reading it.

Remember, how I was asking you your opinions last week about changing out the hardware for the island? Well, what I decided to do was to order a few pieces to try it out, its expensive and I want to absolutey love it before I commit to ordering nearly 30 pieces (lots of drawers and doors). So many of you wanted to know the source its Gado Gado, a small hardware company that makes beautiful unique things. Click here to visit.Thank you for your overwhelming “vote of approval”..i have a feeling its going to look really great, and if so I am going for it. Incidentally a friend is remodeling her kitchen and loves the oil rubbed bronze so I am going to pass these along to her if so. So all is not lost. Heres a pic as a reminder.

Are you a skin care junkie? If so let me pick your brain, if you dont’ mind. I have been  pretty blessed with having good skin, I guess its genetics, thanks Mom and Dad:) That said, I baked in the sun when I was a kid living on the west coast and I still do not take care of my skin as I should, I would be embarrassed to share my skin care regimen or lack of with you but suffice to say its really simple. Simple as water and soap. However being in my 40’s I am ready to start committing to taking better care and needless to say there is an entire universe of skin care products with which to choose. Its overwhelming! So….here it goes, what do you use that you absolutely LOVE? I mean something you just cannot live with out? Do tell! I have dryer skin, just in case you are wondering. I cannot wait to hear what you come up with you, you always have perfect advice. I did try a few products from Jurlique and must say the moisture replenishing cream is off the charts amazing, smells amazing and is super duper moist, its like a moisture bath for your skin and leaves it very dewy (which I love) so…that’s a keeper.

I like to buy a few pair of really special costume jewelry earrings every year. We do have a few events coming up in the fall so this is a great excuse for me to go ahead and indulge. What do you think about these contenders?  Have a fave or two? I love them all…a problem:)

Tory Burch
These are all from Alexis Bittar whose things I love…..

Lots of pretties, eh? You can see why I am having a hard time, and Alexis or Tory, if you are reading this and need a live person to “test out” your earrings to be sure they are wearable, I am ready willing and able;)
Speaking of fun and chic jewelry, are you familiar with the chic nautically inspired brand, Sailormade? Very cute. I have one of the triple bracelets and have since given a few as gifts. With names like Chillmark, Winch, and Camden you are bound to feel like a sailor with or without your own boat! Check them out….

You know what I miss more than just about anything? My beloved monthly arrival of Southern Accents…anyone with me on that? Man, they were the greatest! To me, there is no magazine that holds a candle to them out there, though several are stepping it up. One of my readers knowing that I had really loved one particular show house that Southern Accents featured, sent me an entire binder on pages she had photocopied. SO SWEET!! Unfortunately by the time we got the box (after moving it was found amidst several other boxes) and one of my kids had opened it and I never found out her name to properly acknowledge the kindness. So if you are reading this, email me please so I can properly thank you. I love that you did that for me…and its right on my desk for whenever I am having Southern Accents withdrawals! (often). Thankfully I never threw away a copy, learned that from my mom……thanks Mom!
I am so proud of my friend Debby of Inspired Design for launching Project Strength whose mission it is to raise awareness for domestic violence. One victim is one too many and kudos to Debby for having the courage to be a voice that needs to be heard. I hope you might consider visiting her and showing your support, chances are we have all known someone (whether or not we know it) that has been a victim, sad as it is to say. Please visit her blog and show your support, in addition she is running a wonderful giveaway for a gorgeous necklace, click here to visit. And thank you Debby!
Last home tidbit…..you know that feeling of sheer elation when you find just the right fabric for a room you are working on? Well……I am thrilled to have found the perfect fabric for my guest room. I didn’t have to even think twice, it is perfect. Goes beautifully with the carpeting, the painted nightstands and I can totally envision it. So have already ordered it, now looking for the perfect check and we are going to be on our way!!!!! Woo hoo! I may have to move to this room:)

As August starts winding down, I am going to start revving up in my online shop. I was trying to take it easy a bit over the summer in terms of adding new product. I am going to be making some changes, adding some exciting new products while phasing out of the candles, only a few left. (shipping is very high). In addition the response to my “loot delivery” last week was overwhelming and I almost immediately sold everything, however one of my good customers who intended to buy several items ended up having an emergency and cannot buy them so they are up for grabs and many of you had emailed me about these items and were told they were sold. I am not listing them online since I only have one of each, so if you are interested please contact me at [email protected]. Here is what is left…….

One more thing worth sharing because I am a sucker for anything monogrammed. Found out about these amazing custom and very affordable notebooks called Mays Books over at Sadie and Stella, ordered one for myself and a number for gifts. You get to pick the background, a custom  monogram and style and you get your very own notebook! How cute are they and what desk wouldn’t thank you for gracing one of these beauties with it? Click here to visit the website of Mays Books.

These are sooo chic, love them!
Featured in In Style! They know a good thing when they see it!
Finally saving the best for last….a little “prize” for each of you! Safavieh has graciously decided to offer all of The Enchanted Home’s readers a special limited time 20% discount off of any item they sell! This is beyond generous and a great way to take advantage of their already incredibly low prices on the most magnificent furniture, accessories, lighting and rugs! The code is “Enchanted” when checking out. THANK YOU SAFAVIEH! Click here to visit their site (warning it will keep you busy for hours)!!
OK OK,  think I have rambled more than enough and taken enough of your time!  Can’t say I didn’t warn you that this was all over the map and very lengthy. I am sure you have places to go and people to see…and I have a boatload of things to do myself having been out of commission for 5 days. Doubt I will be back over the weekend, so let me wish you now a happy and relaxing weekend…cannot believe its the first weekend of August……yowza!  See you on Monday:)

Awe, thanks, Tina!!! You are always so unbelievably good to me…Love you! I love the first pair of Alexis Bittar earrings. I am also in love w/ that bedroom, so soothing, classic, feminine and perfect in every way. Glad that you are finally feeling better. At least you have had a chance to catch up on some good reads! Love that you are sharing your photos from customers. Very fun. Oh, and I have read numerous times that ROC and Oil of Olay Regenerist products are proven to work just as well as some of the high-end expensive products. The Regenerist serum and moisturizer would be good for dry skin. xo

Tina- I love your “all over the map” posts, they have become one of my favorites. Lets see if I can remmber my coments….love the fabric for guest room, perfect is right.
Earrings any and all are stunning. You have very sophisticated readers/buyers, every one of those pictures could be in am magazine. Haven’t read much but did finish and recommend Tigers in red weather, good read.
Skincare…its expensive but I love and adore La Mer, for my skin it really works and theres no substitute.
Love the kitchen hardware, can visualize and its going to be perfect.
Glad you are better, thanks for such a fun post filled to the gills!

Well, Tina, I must say that you have been busy while ill. I am so happy that you are better!
I am so happy you added the source for the hardware, because I tried to find these and had no luck! I love the Tory earrings. I use the Veronica’s Spa and Skincare, Malibu moisturizer and LOVE it!
You have the most beautiful store. I love every single piece.
Happy Thursday.

Good morning Tina,

Hope you’re feeling better with the week-end coming up. (I myself am doing great, hubby and I are flying out to Paris tomorrow, I’m in heaven!)

What a fantastic post, lots of goodies! Some lovely homes from your readers and wonderful settings for all your items.

I’m afraid I can’t be any help with the jewelry, I love it all. What’s a girl to do? When in doubt, buy it all!

Have a wonderful week-end.

I am totally enamoured with the fabric for your guest room. Who makes it? And that little settee is just so cute!!

Gee whiz Tina, you have a lot of energy, wish I had half! LOVE the guest room, I can visualize too going to be spectacular, if you need a houseguest to come over to give it a trial run, I am free!

Your store and all teh beautiful things make people want to make their homes pretty, i can attest. I will send some pictures to include, no book recommendations, sorry no time.

That hardware is amazing, have to keep it in my mind when I do my kitchen over this fall, very unique.
Skin care, I use Shiseido products, (my mom is half Japanese and grew up on the stuff since her dad was an executive with the company) I must say the products are exceptional. I am not genetically blessed as some but my skin at 49 looks young, or so I am often told. Worth getting some samples of.

I love Safavieh and will be taking advantage of the generous discount coupon. Have a few of their rugs and want to buy a bed and desk next.

Love your blog, style and your writing. You are fabulous. Thank you for your energy, kindness and generosity.

Good Morning Tina,

Wow! Your readers/customers did a fantastic job with your online store items…Very nice!
Love the Tory earrings! Emeralds? Anytime…And those bracelets!
Your guest bedroom is gorgeous. It’s so beautiful, I had to look twice because I thought the uncovered mattress was part of the decor! Lol!
Debby, good work!

Have a great weekend!
Nickiexo

Glad you were my first cup of coffee read this morning – I savored each and every part. I just loved seeing the images of your items in peoples homes – such validation of your great taste, and what stylish homes. Your guest bedroom is a real jewel. I can’t quit looking at it – completely obsessed with the nightstands and the amazing fabric! Happy Thursday, Tina ~

Good morning, Tina! I’m so happy you are feeling so much better! I know the elated feeling you refer to when you find something you know will work in your home. What you’ve found is prefect! It will be absolutely beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Tina,

Happy to hear you are feeling better, it’s a pain to be sick. But nice to have some downtime.

Let me begin, I LOVE the first and last pairs of earrings. Stunning.

Second, love love love the fabric for the guest room. It is beautiful and a you sat, perfect.

Third, I have read the Paris wife, but not the others, will have to get them. Have you read The Elegance of the Hedgehog? Or The Golden Tulip? Both excellent, one in Paris he othe Amsterdam

I love all of your photos from readers home! The last one should be in a magazine.

I cannot advise on the skin are regime, I am like you, simple. Philosophy scrub and water. I don’t like.moisturizer. But have heard great things about jurlique.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend catching up, relax too and enjoy your friends and family.

Elizabeth

Dear Tina so glad you are on the mend! It is certainly no fun unless you have a laptop kept at bedside!

Love your decision for the guestroom!!!

Glad to hear you are doing much better! these “musings” were all wonderful ones! LOVED seeing the pics of the items from your shop in other people’s homes! I always tell my customers that I would love to see my items once they are placed and I rarely get to! Loved the Tory earrings! Can’t wait to try the Jurlique products and your guest room is fabulous! I love those nightstands!! I would love to see a pic of what you do with that stripe from last week that I think is the same fabric I have! If you take a pic…and I bet you will! please let us see it finished! Have a wonderful weekend…we are finally at the beach…first time since the end of May to get back here so that is nice! Hope to catch up on a lot of things! all the best….

I just love your blog.I spend alot of the day alone,so I feel liek I am visiting a friend.
Love to Teddy!!!! Debbie

Lots of loveliness going on here! How fun for you to see your treasures going off to live in such good homes! Great choice for the guestroom and I see you’ve zeroed in on the Tory Burch earrings I’m slightly obsessed with – although the Alexis Bittar’s are pretty, too. Happy Thursday, Tina! XOXO

The guest bedroom is a beautiful retreat, can I come to visit..ha ha. Whatever you decide in regards to skin care products, just remember that 60 to 70% of what you apply to your skin is absorbed. I’ve used MyChelle for years and get compliments on my skin. I’m 59 and also spent my growing years on the beaches of Southern California. Jurlique is a wonderful product line as well and I’ve had good results from Caudalie (French).

Tina LOVE everything! The earrings, the cute notebooks, your beautiful fabric for that gorgeous guest room, and of course all the pretty enchanted home goodies. Your customers do have excellent taste and thats a great idea for them to share with you how they are being used.

I am obsessed with skin care, so here it goes-
its a bit of a high and low.
Love Dr. Perricones moisturizers all of them, I use one for combination skin called face finishing but their dry skin ones are suppposed to be excellent. They are expensive but a little goes a long way.
I also put grapefruit oil on my skin overnight once a week after I scrub with an almond scrub bought at health food stores. Its a good replinisher.
For eye cream, love and have used for years Renergie eye cream and they have a newer product called eye youth illuminating concentrate which is really good.
And last for cleanser, love Clarins gentle foaming cleanser. Don’t think you need to use all one line, its a matter of what works for your skin and produces results. This is my ‘concoction” of what works, but be sure there are many excellent products out there. Its a lot of trial and error which can also be expensive, have to look at the Jurlique products, see them at Sephora but don’t know much about them.

Love your blog, its my daily stop every single morning!

i know what you mean about the scary-ness of losing the appetite. it’s only happened once to me and freaked me right out.

trying to get better about skincare. i use kaplan md beverly hills products. i also love lancome’s resurface products because they are so great for sensitive skin.

random is a lovely thing, beautiful blogger.

michele

good morning tina,

had a bit of a bug the past few days myself. happy to know you are feeling better. absolutely love your blog posts. never too long for me.
regarding skincare…i’m 58 yrs old and have been using murad products forever. i change them up according to my needs at the time. they have something for everyone. noooooow on to the guest bedroom. my master is done in the same color pallet and i have two chairs that match your settee. i looooove your bed and i have been on a search for sometime now to find one that called my name. this is it! would you mind sharing the company that makes it or where you purchased? i would appreciate it.

What a fun post Tina! Love the Tory Burch and Alexis Bittar earrings and Jurlique skin care products are wonderful..with a cult following no-less! I keep meaning to pick up the rose lotion. I cherry pick individual products for myself and my patients depending on their skin challenges 🙂 There are lots of great lines out there and I believe you don’t have to spend a lot to get what you need. That said, I am a total product junkie and love the high end products from time to time.

The fabric in the guest bedroom is just gorgeous. Such a soft and serene room and those pillows! ..love them!

I am excited over the Safavieh discount because I finally narrowed down the pair of chairs I want for my living room- yay!
What a fun post, lets see I want all the earrings, the bracelets and notebooks. I want to be a guest in what will be one gorgeous guest room. Would love to cook in your kitchen, did I miss something?
Oh yes, skin care, for me I use all LOreal and must say they are great and affordable. My friend who works in a dermatologists office swears that they are basically the same as most high end products less the fancy packaging and I think my skin proves it. Worth trying though you have me curious to try Jurlique, I have really dry skin too and love the dewy look.
Thanks Tina for so much goodness all in one place!

Every one of your customer photos could be in a magazine, espeically love the 1st and 5th pictures. You do have some really gorgous things, well priced too. I have to remember your shop as we near the holidays. Hope you will offer gift wrapping, I am a horrible wrapper!
Your guest room and kitchen are such beautiful spots. I could call those two rooms home quite happily.
I use Clinique everything for skin becuase I have very sensitive skin, and the last book I read was The three Weismans of Westport, easy and entertaining. Hope you have a nice rest of the week and weekend. Where did you get that settee?

I love all the interior decorating, I might say it’s really stunning and it’s what I love. Your house is enchanted for sure and I love your style, is what I prefer, mind you, I don’t have a huge house like yours, but it’s my style. I love your jewelry too!
FABBY

Really like the choices for the guest room. I love the soft blue on the bed. Really like the Sailormade jewelry and will be checking them out in a bit. There must be some kind people over at Safavieh!!

So sorry you’ve been sick, but isn’t it great to have a good book and/or the internet to keep you company! My skin care products are from Obagi NuDerm, which is available only through dermatologists/cosmetic surgeons or other doctors, due to the prescription strength retina. The downside of Obagi is it’s expensive and there are some cycles of redness and peeling. After those cycles, your skin looks fantastic. When I first began using it, my mother gasped and asked me if I had had a face lift! I’ve been using it for about 7 years, and it has kept the wrinkles pretty much at bay. I’m 56 and people think I’m about 15 years younger. I would highly recommend it. I’ve also used an eye cream from Dr. Perricone which is good.

Hi Tina! What a wonderful post!! I just wanted to tell you that everything I have ordered from you is gorgeous and perfect, and I am very excited to see what you will be carrying in the fall!! I love the first two pairs of earrings from the Alexis Bittar line – very elegant and refined! The nautical bracelets are darling and I know my preppy sixteen year old daughter would agree too! I read Southern Accents magazines for years as well, and was so sad to see them go. I was not as smart as you to save all of my issues though, but the good news is I get to read your blog instead!!! The guest room fabric definitely is perfect – love the calming color palette and I’m sure your guests will too! Thanks so much again for your fun posts and the terrific service and quality products you provide in your online store! Lisa L.

Also in my 40’s, in the last year have become a devotee of Laura Mercier products. The ‘Flawless Skin’ line is fantastic. ‘The Darlings’ looks like my perfect late summer read – thanks for the recommendation.
Phyllis

I use Jan Marini’s product line, although I am not totally sure what my skin would like with something less expensive.

The fabric you chose is a favorite of mine and I have made pillows for my shop with vintage lace. I can send pic’s if you’d like. I’m sure you can have them made to, but it is really beautiful fabric!

I’ll take one of everything else!

Glad you’re feeling better!,
Barbara

Hi, love those notebooks, I could use one will visit the site. For skin care, I am pretty basic and use a lot of Clinque products but love the clay mask by Keihl, have been using it for years, one of the fashion magazines labled it as the number one mask, think it was In Style since thats the only one I get!

Love the guest room, your guest may not want to leave or you might want to move in!
All the trays are so pretty and how generous of Safavieh to extend the discount. Maybe now my husband will let my buy the new dining room rug I have had my eye on.
Feel better, its no fun being sick in the summer heat.

I am definitely with you. I really miss Southern Accents. I just told my husband that as I tried to pick out my monthly hoard of shelter magazines. There is nothing out there like it!

Tina, I’m glad that you are feeling better…it’s not good to be sick anytime…but in the heat of the Summer it always feels worse…I love the inspiration from your customers and am so happy for you that your store is doing so well…you are definitely on the right track…take good care of yourself. Mona

I have to say the bloggers who have purchased from you all have beautiful homes from what I can see and great taste. I have a sinus headache but being on the computer for any length of time isn’t fun but I miss my favorite blogs. Glad you’re feeling better.

Debra~

I love, love when you incorporate fabulous finds, whether it’s jewels, skin care, or clothing. It’s been my new fav!

OK, you had to ask! This is a passion area of mine….

First, the saying “as within so without” goes for the skin, so lots of wonderful organic, raw foods with supplements like fish oil – Life Extension brand vitamins were created by doctors and are of great quality! Also, high quality raw coconut oil and olive oil…the best of the best for the body! And, since you have been sick lately, the coconut oil is very good for building immunity….my mother caught the flu and she took two tablespoons of very high quality coconut oil at bedtime and woke up feeling like a new gal…..worth reading up on! I personally love Artisans Raw Coconut oil.

After a nice hot bath you can lather on coconut oil on the skin (just the oil and not the Artisans brand) and put on a heavy turkish bathrobe and socks and well….let is seep right into the skin and all of your lovely organs…remember the skin is the largets organ and staying away from chemicals is really important as everything is absorbed and then goes into the blood and liver…scary when you think of all the toxic lotions out there. Suzanne Summers has a few great books on wonderful natural supplements, skincare etc…

Glowing Green Smoothie for Radiant Skin – Drink in morning.

This smoothie supplies you with the energy, vitamins and minerals to give your skin a youthful, sexy glow.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups water
1 head organic romaine lettuce, chopped (about 6 cups)
2 stalks organic celery (about 1 1/2 cups)
7 cups of chopped spinach
1 organic apple or pear, cored and chopped
1 organic banana
2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice

Directions
Add the water and chopped head of romaine to the blender. Starting the blender at low speed, mix until smooth. Gradually moving to higher speeds, add the celery and pear. Add the banana and lemon juice last.

Moving on….

My favorite skincare line – Rhonda Allison. My aestitician in California told me about this line and this is what I use. Wonderful Pumpkin Cleanser, Greentea Toner (will make your skin glow), pumpkin toner, cherry enzyme mask, chocolate mask, milk mask (cleaner), growth factor serum….just wonderful and amazing and do they know skin! And facial peels! I only trust Rhonda Allison peels — my gal Tamera who is a co-owner of Preen in Fresno, CA (people travel from San Fran, Santa Barbara, LA and nationally to see her. Is one of the best Rhonda Allison trained people. I also found a gal when I was in North Carolina (Raleigh) who trained with Rhonda and her daughter who gave a nice peel…you might have someone near you….be careful, not everyone is great. You can buy the products directly on-line.

For my eyes, I prefer Visual Changes Eye Youth – so far the best I have found, better than Rhonda Allison eye products. YOu can buy it on-line — wonderful juicy and hydrating. I buy two at a time I just love it….

And, here is another one of my secrets — the highest grade rose essential oil you ca find — I like Young Living Oils theraputic quality. Their Rose oil is very, very expensive but amazing — I like to use the eye youth and then on top of that put some rose essential oil for my upper eyes and corners. I am 44 and have been told that I look in my early 30’s. I have some faint eye lines. I also use the oil after I moisturize with coconut oil or olive or a Rhonda Allison moisturizer on my chest.

Almost forgot — Rhonda Allison recently came out with a line of moisturizers for larger skin surfaces and it is very expensive but amazing, she also has a new hair product.

Now, here is something untraditional that you will not find at Saks or other high end department stores, another secret that I happened upon while living in Santa Barbara — There is a company in Tennesse that makes massage lotions — all natural, called http://www.twelvecorners.com/radiantmassage.html

Continued…..
I simply trust this company. I buy the massage lotion and use it as a lotion. It can seem a bit more “oily” but it is all natural, using real essential oils…I often buy several scents – Mother’s Wish is so nurturing, Lavender, Orange….all yummy and healthy.
Shea Butter – Have tried them all…close to it….and this company I found is very, very good http://www.sheabutterstore.com/products.php?cat=7. I like the “lovely scent” shea butter. They are small artisans. High quaity.

http://egyptianmagic.com/endorsements.htm I use this for my feet, elbows, sometimes legs. It is a bit thick but it really works. The name and the founder are certainly “untraditional” but that shouldn’t steer you away from trying it. It is available at all whole food markets.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay (available at whole foods) – mix this with raw apple cider vinegar (Braggs) and put it on face, chest…anywhere actually – have done it all! And, will htis make your face pulse as it pulls impurities out…I mean it really, pulls toxins out and I love to do it at least 1X a month then I use all my Rhonda Allison goodies as they penetrate deeper into the skin. I also like to add it to my bath once in a while to pull out toxins.

Which brings me to a wonderful detox bath formula – one cup white vinegar, one cup baking soda, one cup sea salt. Soak as it pulls toxins from the body…..always feel lighter and brighter when I am done. Some people tell me they feel like they have more energy after taking this bath. You can also add some essential oils…

These are some of my secret finds that have taken me over 10 years to optimize.

Biggest thing I have found recently that is helping me is the raw drink in the morning….I modify it as well with different frutis and veges….I try and create at least 15 grams of fiber which is what I once read a person needs in a day..I would never get that much without the drink….

More tips and resources if you need them. So fun to share.

Oh Tina that fabric is heavenly and goes so perfectly in your guest room with all your other beautiful pieces of furniture, can’t wait to see the finished product. By the way, do you know if Safavieh will ship to Australia?

Tina- so much goodness in one place. I kept going up and down to make sure I got it all.
What stood out was the gorgeous bedroom you are planning yes the fabric is perfect. A big yes to hardware for island it will give it a whole new look which is going to be great looking and make the island really pop out. Good call.
Love all the jewelry, notebooks, your trays and gottta say your customers homes are so beautiful. What a great idea! I will have to send in a picture of my dough bowl and trays in action. Have a good weekend.
Amy

We love your random musings, Tina, as they take us all over the map – love the nautical bracelets and may have to invest in some before heading to the Hamptons at the end of the month and those custom notebooks are fab! Hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend.

Loved this all over the map post Tina!! I adore all those “costume” jewels, they really are gorgeous!! I was lucky to get to try out the french skin care line by Darphin, Paris, and I am using it regularly now, I especially loved the moisturizer. I did custom draperies for my sis in Kansas City MO out of the same Garden Toile colorway you are using~its timeless and soft and elegant and oh so french!! I can vouch for the Paris Wife~I totally enjoyed it myself.

you and I share a love of the same books too! Loved the Paris WIfe and have the Darlings on my nightstand. SO glad you are feeling better—there’s nothing worse than being sick in the middle of summer. Have a great weekend, xxBarbara
ps off to Spain and Morocco this Saturday–any suggestions?

Oh those earrings are so beautiful. I have to check out Alexis Bitter. Love the hardware changeup, great idea and love that hardware. Also excellent choice of fabric for the guest room, love the bed and settee too, whose are they?
Read The Paris wife, also enjoyed it. Not onto anything new so thanks for the suggestions.
Skin care, use all Chanel, am happy with it but not a big believer in any one product, just have to find the right thing for your skin. Agree though too many choices, its dizzying.
I love the things I bought from you and will send a few pictures- the pictures from your customers are so beautiful, what a lovely testament to you and your shop!

Love that toile Tina! And thanks for the book leads…I am into one book right now but I’m always looking to beef up my list of pending reads! I have been away and am about to head out of town again so I won’t be stopping by as much but I will be back to say hello upon my return. 🙂

OMG Tina, what an amazing post! I LOVE your “rambling” posts :0
I can’t even remember all the notes I made in my head to comment on, but I’ll take a stab at it. Your items in buyer’s homes look AMAZING!! I especially love the lights over the islands! Love the jewelry. There is another store, “The Ropes” in Maine, that I found somewhere that sells similar but bigger nautical jewelry – love them both. Your kitchen is stunning, and I love the hardware. Lastly, I miss SA too, terribly! How’s that for a rambling comment:)

Sorry to hear you have been sick….glad to hear you are feeling better finally!!!! Your customers homes are amazing!!!! I will have to check out the others later…..
Love the fabric you chose for your guest bedroom….just beautiful!!!
Have a great weekend :o)

Those sailormade bracelets are wonderful, stopping in to learn more about them asap. I think the Alexis Bittar earrings are exquisite…. that would be my choice! Happy Weekend!! Emily

Whatever new skin care routine you try–first order yourself a Clarisonic Face Brush. I love the big one, with the seperate body brush, and I use a sensitive skin brush head for my face. It’s just DIVINE! And makes whatever you put on your skin just melt into it!!! Feel better!

I love the fabric you chose for your guest room! I used for a window treatment in my master bath in my last house and I am really happy to see it hasn’t been discontinued. May have to redo my guest room so I can use it again!

P.S. I definitely recommend the Clarisonic as well!

Tina a lot to take in here, love all your finds, the jewelry is gorgeous. I would have a hard time picking one but the first second and third pair to me scream buy me.
The notebooks are really fun, I will have to check them out. I know of sailormade, my daughter had them on her birthday list, they are really cute pieces.
Skincare, like you I am lucky so don’t follow a regimen but did just buy the clarisonic and have to say its fantastic, a small investment but really worth it, my skin looks better than ever and people have actually noticed.
Your bedrdoom is coming along beautifully, I can see why you fell in love with the fabric, love your nightstands too and of course you can do no wrong in that kitchen, its just breathtaking.
Hope you are better, we have suffered from allergies this summer, its been a really brutal season, my advice stay inside in the AC!

Well…my head is spinning from all of the news in this post! So funny but I am working with a client right now that has curtains out of the fabric you are using in your guest room! She wanted to change them out and I said no way….toile is timeless and goes with everything!

Fun post! I will have to try that face cream! I’ve been looking into keeping my skin look younger naturally but just trying to find the right moisturizers. Last year during my marathon training I didn’t cover up my face well with sunblock and got dark spots..:( not good but they are getting better and I learned my lesson the hard way.

I’m too lazy to read through all of the comments, so I apologize if someone has already pointed this out, but I THINK (emphasis on THINK, not know!) that Southern Accents is coming out with a Special Edition publication, kind of like Domino did earlier this spring. I think I might have read that in the most recent Southern Living? Not sure.

Anyhoo, I miss Southern Accents terribly!! I buy up old copies on Ebay as they come available 🙂
