Hello and happy Sunday! Hope all is well with you, well we had some party last night. And the weather gods blessed us with weather I could not have even custom ordered myself:) Woke to heavy rain…..so we got very lucky indeed! It was my sons 30th birthday, I cannot believe I have a 30 year old son!!

He was supposed to be away but delayed his trip by a day and we planned a really last minute party for him and the theme was “upscale Mexican fiesta”.  I cannot wait to share all the details with you…it was one of the most fun parties i have ever thrown or attended:) More on that next week……

Here we go with my Seven on Sunday…..

______________

1 STILL IN SHOCK. I just still cannot comprehend what happened in Las Vegas about a week ago. What is going on in our crazy world! It is such a horrible unspeakable tragedy. But even in those times we need to look for silver linings and I have been so moved at the worldwide vigils, tributes and outpouring of love and compassion for those lives lost and for our world in general.

I will never give up wishing for a peaceful world where people can coexist and accept each others differences without violence. This tragedy was so senseless, this was a beautiful tribute and song by Keith Urban. One of the many many beautiful tributes to this horrible day where so many innocent lives were taken……

2 CUTEST STOCKINGS I am so in love with these new arrivals….are these not the cutest stockings you have ever seen? I will hang the Golden Retrieve to honor my sweet very missed Teddy. They are now online under holiday. What a way to honor your favorite pooch!  Click here to see them (scroll all the way past ornaments) we will soon be adding a subcategory for these.

3 MAKES ME WANT TO MOVE TO PROVENCE. When I saw this video I felt like I had been swept up and taken into a magical dream in Provence. This video almost had me contemplating packing up all I own and moving to Provence but it would have to be to this house lol. Dreamy indeed!!

I have not been there in about 8 or 9 years and am longing to go back to this incredible charming part of France.  Click here to see the video and I am forewarning you now…..this might have you planning a trip sooner than later, so don’t blame me:)

4. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST This weeks round up is a sure sign that fall is here! Lots of beautiful instagrams this week with a healthy dose of fall…..just can’t get enough!

My favorite this week is this one because well…..it is just so cute, can’t help but make you smile:)

5 GETTING MY HOME READY FOR FALL Only thing missing is my sweet Teddy, last year I took almost the same picture but with him sporting his navy vest:) I love an all white theme, feel it’s so elegant and serene.

I found mums I swear the size of a small dining table and was so excited about them! Then I added my stunning faux pumpkins and it is understated but so pretty. Best thing about these pumpkins is that they never rot, never have to worry about seeds, and they always look perfect!

Many have asked my “stone” pumpkis. they are from my online ship. They are actually a fiber stone so you can actually lift them with one hand but incredibly look like real stone. They come in 3 sizes, click here to see them

Here added my beautiful and very treasured blue and white pumpkins from Karolyn of Relished Roost to my kitchen island along with white mums and porcelain-

6.NEW ADDITIONS TO THE SHOP. Lots of gorgeous new things were added to my online shop this week, you must check out all the stunning rugs for the small collection I curated, in love with every one of them! Here’s a peek, click here to see all that is new and beautiful on my shop.

This grand dame orchid arrangement was recently added, click here to view all custom florals

All giftwrap is now online, click here to view

New art was just added, needless to say I am totally smitten with these right down to the stunning antiqued gold fretwork frame!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY So many of you are following along with our PB building. It is really getting to the exciting part and  we are at the stage of finalizing the hood details. I am so torn about adding the unlacquered brass stripping detail or the satin nickel detail…help!

Both are beautiful, just to give you some context, the kitchen will be white with Calcutta gold marble, polished nickel hardware. I do think the brass gives it a little punch but they are both beautiful. So……would love you to weigh in!

Those framed pictures are so me LOL My daughter also, bought some mums the size of small dining table, they look great and drop in pot and you are done. Instant wow factor but don’t forget to water frequently

I love the stately elegance of the white mums. My husband says we need more color each fall..but I am drawn to the white as well. Happy Fall?

WE DO HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN LAS VEGAS, BUT WE MUST ALSO MAKE IMPERATIVE TO NOTE, THAT WE ARE LIVING IN THE END TIMES PRIOR TO THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST. WE MUST TAKE HEED, THAT EVEN TAKING PRIDE IN OUR POSSESSIONS, WE SHALL HAVE TO GIVE THOSE UP, AND RESIST THE MARK OF THE BEAST (REVELATIONS 13 IN THE HOLY BIBLE). JESUS CHRIST SHALL ESTABLISH A KINGDOM HERE ON EARTH THAT CAN NEVER BE ETERNALLY BE PUT TO AN END, AND THOSE WHO ENTER IN SHALL WALK STREETS OF GOLD. KEEPING OUR EYES AND GOALS ON THE KINGDOM OF GOD. LEAVING ALL THAT WE HAVE AT THE DOOR STEP TO ENTER INTO AN ETERNITY THAT HAS NOT BEEN CONTAMINATED.

A very Happy Birthday to your son!
What a lovely post to see on this dreary day on Long Island. The music along with the video on Provence was beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

I’ve lived with unlacquered brass items over the years. The popularity of brass comes and goes. I promise you that it will not stay shinny and beautiful unless it is lacquered. Sometimes the lacquer only prolongs it from tarnishing.

It’s so nice to see a photo of Teddy. I’m glad he is still mentioned in your blog. Our 13 year old Springer passed away in March. I miss her daily. We had 15 super special months with her after finding our she had cancer. We filled every day with an adventure like it was her last. We went for Quality of Life!! You are in my thoughts while your heart is healing from missing Teddy.

Hi Tina, I was in Savannah for a couple of days and decided to visit Hilton Head. On the way over we came upon PB. What a gorgeous place. I hope you and your family enjoy many happy and memorable times there. Keep us informed with loads of pics of this wonderful community.

Hi Tina just came in from my son’s game and always look forward to sitting down and reading your post. I really enjoy each and every one. Beautiful tribute by Keith Urban, so sad what happened in LV.

That video was so beautiful, I am with you- I could pack up tomorrow and move there as well!

Love your front door- just beautiful. The all white is very elegant and those pumpkins are fantastic. Love all your new arrivals, eagerly awaiting the holiday giftwrap and look forward to your next porcelain sale.

Nice as always to see sweet Teddy’s adorable face here, I love that you include him in your posts, it allows him to stay here in spirit.

Hi Tina, we just returned from beautiful Provence and although the sunflower season had passed it was still lovely.
We stayed in a chateau with an incredibly large room overlooking the immense gardens. It was a dream. The most gorgeous of all chateaus, Chenanceau, was nearby of which we toured. It was built over a large river
From there we went on to Nice.
It inspired my kitchen decor for sure.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Wish I could shop but every time I select a category the pictures are covered with ads from sponsors and I can’t see the items. Anyone else have this problem?

My favorite is choice 1 but voted for #2 because I think it would hold up much better over time

Having lived in the south mos,t of my life, unlacquered brass will tarnish in a very short time. It will always be dull.
Sorry, welcome to humidity and if you love shiny, polish weekly or use lacquer.

I am looking forward to seeing the party post. Happy Birthday to your son. Mine is rather miffed with me because we will be away for his 21st Birthday. We had the opportunity to go to a conference in Boston and drive around New England to see the autumn colours. This has been on my Bucket List since before Bucket lists! I have also always wanted to see the glass flowers at Harvard. Being Australian, these opportunities don’t come around often. It hadn’t occurred to me that he might want his Olds to be around for the birthday as that was certainly not what we did in my day, parents made themselves very scarce!
In regards to your range hood, I prefer the look of the brass but being unsealed I imagine that it would tarnish into verdigri and need lots of regular polishing to keep it lovely and brassy. If that is the case, go nickel trim, otherwise, go brass.

So is your hood going to be painted wood with the strapping? I’m looking to do this and both your drawings are beautiful.

I’m an interior designer and just finished a bathroom with Calcutta gold marble, antique white cabinets, and polished nickel hardware, but I added a fabulous, very large, custom, gold framed beveled mirror and a smaller golf framed nude sketch. The gold made the room.

Good morning, Tina. Happy 30th to your son. You must have been 12 when you had him! Those stockings are a kick! I’m going over to the site as soon as I leave you. And I love the pic of the poodle in the jean jacket and shades. Love the new orchid arrangement that’s in your shop. Have a wonderful week. We are experiencing the tail end of Hurricane Nate. I guess I will have to put off my first day of training for a marathon another day. 🙂

Loving the rugs you created – they are beyond dreamy, Tina! And the pup stockings are heartwarming. I feel like everyone is filling their home with touches of brass and gold, like they did years ago, but I have never been one for trends. I know folks will be covering it all up with silvery metallics in time. I do like the patina-ed unlacquered brass finishes though.

When terror strikes as it did in Vegas, it truly shakes us to the core and wakes up our souls. But how we respond as a people is everything. If we harden, let bitterness take root, and shut down emotionally, we are actually practicing the violence we despise. I choose to grieve and seek grace for new eyes to see hope arising out of ashes. Spiritual practice helps me with centering. Creating art is a meditative practice that helps to restore balance and gives me a means to spread peace. We all have opportunities to cultivate purity of heart and inner peace, and it never stops there…it always overflows into the world. xox

Loved this post! Once again a list of all things beautiful! Thanks for a great start if the week!
