Hi  there and happy Friday to you! Well, we are just about at party weekend, we are having a big party tomorrow night and I have been through the ringer watching the weather like a hawk which has been a mental rollercoaster but alas looks like we are getting lucky and it will be a beautiful day.

I will of course share every step of the way with you through Instagram and then eventually the blog. I prepared this ahead of time and hope it posts as it should! Every week or two I share with you random pictures taken with my iPhone to show you what I have been up to..the good and pretty only (wink wink).

Second and last day today for the Provence planter, chinioserie tole arrival sale (and clearance on limited items too) and throw your name in the hat for the giveaway!  Click here to see the sale-

I will tell you that what this post does not capture is the anxiety, worry and frankly  outright hysteria I felt at times in anticipation of the continuously changing weather forecast for the night of our party. Hopefully by the time you read this, we will have been blessed by the weather Gods with only a teeny chance of rain, way better than what they were saying days ago!

So without further ado here is life in the last couple weeks……..

I was out east and went to the most charming peony farm, the peonies were some of the most beautiful I have seen, fresh off the vine and in bloom, big as saucers! I bought them because I love them and thought they would fit into my white party theme to scatter in small bunches, meanwhile my hall chest gets to enjoy them!

The rest of them in their holding bin (my kitchen sink) until they will all go in the garage refrigerator until tomorrow

Gorgeous giftwrap came in  and the frenzy to get out the orders has officially begun!

Love using my new ivory/blue tole large planter as an ice bucket

Snapshots of the peonies I bought and took home some delicious strawberries too

Lunch in Southampton is always a wonderful treat

Just got these stunning hurricanes in, there will be a flash sale on these next week, so so pretty:)

Took home some of my loot from my last porcelain container, happy I doubled up on some items that there are never any left of…..oh happy day:)

Gorgeous pillows on their way to a lucky pillow lover!

Don’t you just love an old fashioned dinner party! Went to one last weekend and it was so elegant, beautiful and had the most beautiful panoramic water view!

Love the pretty whites and cream tones in my husbands bath, floor is from New Ravenna, sconces Visual Comfort and window treatment by me:)

Plotting and playing with these beautiful new blues for a pillow collaboration…stay tuned!

My design project in NYC is going well, above is the “in progress” chaos until we start the fun process of moving the furniture, rugs, lighting, etc…in  lots of exciting things happening in the next 3 weeks

We gave this little powder room a makeover took away the dismal rusty colored paper and horrible sconces and voila!

BEFORE

AFTER WITH THE BEAUTIFUL SCHUMACHER WALLPAPER

And with the beautiful Venetian glass mirror and stunning crystal sconces…it is transformed!

Side by side-

Made my yummy brushetta to bring to someones house….so good and always a sure hit.

Speaking of food, have been making a lot of guacamole (healthy fat) as part of dinner, it is so delicious and filling. My favorite is this Tex Mex chicken I make, with black beans and guacamole. I don’t even miss the taco shells or tortillas! Will share the recipe later in the week-

So that’s a glimpse into life the last week or two, busy and mostly good stuff:) Happy my anxiety about the weather is for the most part behind me and now it’s full party planning mode from here on in. Wishing everyone a wonderful end to your week and a most wonderful weekend, hope the birds are singing and the sun is shining! Until next time………..

LOVE peonies, but can’t grow them in Mobile–it gets too hot and not cold enough. I have tried over and over again, to no avail.

My husband just washed my Jeep. I forgot all about your party, otherwise, I would have told him not to wash it!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
What will be will be–it will be a FABULOUS party!! Enjoy!

All so pretty, and yes I am hungry now too! Can’t wait for your recipe posts. Tina, love the powder room makeover, it is so pretty. Do you mind if I ask you the name of the wallpaper and source for mirror? I just love everything about it. Really enjoyed these pictures from the last few weeks, can’t wait for the hurricanes. Good luck with your party.

Love your musings with photos! Love your food recommendations/recipes! Love your florals! Now I just cannot wait until the party pics. Fingers crossed for great weather; but I’m sure you have thought of everything, come rain or shine! Best to you, as always.

My daughter is working on a Navy and Green sitting room. She needs those pillows!!!!

Love the peonies, but have a hard time growing them in the heat of Tallahassee. Lilacs too.

Hi Tina – I just love your blue and green pillow collection. I am also a pillow lover. Since I use all neutrals in my great room, dining room, and kitchen (open concept), I change the decor 3 times a year using pillows, art, ceramics, etc. That keeps me from the need to build yet another house. This is the last one….hopefully. I think your pillow collection would be great for my winter theme. This is a new custom home on a ranch in Colorado. Would you please share the source of the blue and green striated velvet? My collection of blue and white ceramics is growing. Lamps, vases, planters, garden stools……you name it. Isn’t it lovely, and so versatile. Thank you for your lovely blog.

Loving those hurricanes! Thank you for answering my question in your last post. I always look forward to the pictures of your parties!

Can’t wait for the hurricanes! Stunning! Peonies and strawberries are so beautiful!

Not sure how you respond to questions–to all or to individuals. I, too, would like more information about the wallpaper in the powder room.

I love spending time setting a lovely table. Friends love to feel special. Details add to the ambiance. The hurricanes are beautiful. Time well spent. ENJOY the party! ?

I can imagine you calling Teddy to come in from the cold! Cutie..

I love the hurricanes, Tina, and can’t wait for the “flash sale” !!

Beuuuutiful bathroom makeover! Schumacher has always been one of my favorite wallpaper designers. So funny how styles change. Stripes were so in – like yesterday! Haha

Can’t wait for the guacamole recipe; probably a great dish for a ketotonic diet.
