Hi there! Back in NY and settling back into my routine,  its a busy and exciting time over here at TEH. With the holiday season just starting, we have all kinds of amazing things happening here! I must say being in PB was such a treat. This was all about girlfriend time and I had the good fortune of not having not one but two groups of friends (at different times) visiting me. It was fun to see it all through their eyes and suffice to say they too fell in love with the calming magic of PB.

We did everything from hanging out by the pool, lots of biking, game playing, Savannah tour walking and more and it was so what I needed. I forgot how wonderful it is to “unplug” from the stress and demands of every day life and it was amazing! I am back with renewed energy and vigor and rolling up my sleeves to get ready for the busy holiday season ahead.

Still love my house as much as ever and with every visit, small things (and big) get done. It is starting to feel like a lived in and much loved home. I am taking my time with the remaining items, like a few final pieces of furniture and art. I am looking for a local artist and have a few promising leads to pursue. Open with all ears if you know of someone local to that area. Anywho, here is the latest at the house and my last visit there-

Love the lighting in theses pictures, brings back fond memories of a rainy afternoon (one of the few) where we felt free to stay and play games, drink wine and nibble:)

Dining room chandelier was installed..finally! Worth the wait:)

A small but significant touch to me, finally getting some “real pictures” printed and placed into my frames! Teddy front and center:)

Pretty afternoon lighting

These REAL hydrangeas are going on 10 days!!! Thanks to fresh cuts every 4-5 days and very hot water, they have serious staying power

Our games of choice….both such fun and lots of laughter guaranteed!

Another day, prepared good but healthy snacks

Guilt free snacking!

Our study/office space, a happy room to work in

Finished the window seat upstairs with all these pretty blue and white Thibaut fabrics (not to worry about any fellow OCD’ers out there, I fixed the bottom part of the window seat cushion:)

Afternoon “snack” guacamole with tomatoes, yum!

Still loving my hood! A work of art:)

Prepared a light lunch and set up my counter with my melamine and beautiful linens

Upstairs lantern got installed

This picture makes me smile…one of my favorite activities to do at PB.

Powder room got new mirror, love it

Back staircase/mud room are- not sure if I have shown the lanterns installed

We really enjoy our porch, morning, noon and night!

I am not going to lie, putting this post together makes me wish I was back there now. Something about it instantly relaxes me, the pace slows down, and somehow things just seem calmer down there. Back in NY, the pace is decidedly must faster and unrelenting.I love it and thrive in it but those breaks I get when visiting PB are always a welcome relief!

Tina,
I do love your pictures of PB. I especially like the floor to ceiling tile in the kitchen. Even with the open floor plan it feels like its own “room”. Would love to visit PB sometime~~looks enchanting.

We found an amazing artist when we were at PB in Bluffton. The painting is in our home in Nashville. I will look for the artist name here but when we go for Thanksgiving I will definitely forward her contact information. The painting is Gorgeous low country brush.

What fortunate friends you have to get to enjoy your fabulous hospitality! Another lovely post.

Bill Beebe, a wonderful artist, recently relocated from Virginia to Charleston. Highly recommend you check out his website. I particularly like his wildlife and maritime works.
Both Bill and Jen, his business manager are delightful!

The house looks so beautiful Tina. EVERY single detail has me drooling. I have gotten many great ideas from you, your taste is exquisite. So happy you are enjoying it there, it’s a very special place.

Your home is beautiful! I love the new mirror in your powder room. Would you please share the source? Thank you

Your home is beautiful, what a wonderful place to relax. I love the new mirror in the power room, would you please share the source? Thank you

Thank you for sharing. Your home looks lovely. Happy you are enjoying all your hard work

Have really enjoyed your Bluff Diaries. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.

Perfection!! I see all 3 sons have monogrammed pillows. I thought one of them didn’t want monogramming. ??

Tina, have you tried contacting SCAD in Savannah? I think they have an art collective & online gallery with works for sale, artist details if you wish to commission a work. I also check out antique shops, you never know what the dealers have picked up at estate sales.
Love seeing the pics of your sweet Teddy.

Love your theme, … French countryside. I just bought a countryside home and looking forward to decorate your pictures are inspiring..thx

Could you give me the information about your dining room lighting? I cannot find this particular item on the Circa website. Thank you! Lovely home!

Please take a look at Rhett Thurman’s work. Her studio is in Charleston, SC. She is an incredible artist and was born in SC. I am sure you will fall in love with her pieces. Tina, your Palmetto Bluff home is so beautiful as is everything you touch. You have such exquisite style.
