Hi there, hope everyone is having a great week. Isn’t it crazy that the holiday hoopla is starting? I feel like we went from August to November!! I just can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week. Once Thanksgiving comes and goes….that’s it, it is truly full steam ahead. I am ready for action:) It has sprung upon us awfully fast.

However if I had a choice,  I would want to press the slow motion button and be able to slowly prep myself for the busy, bustling 7 weeks ahead. I thought I was going to do that in August but somehow that did not happen. Mostly what stresses me out is the gift buying, so I actually have started that last week, and am making my list and determined to be done by first week of Dec.

I will also be featuring several posts in the coming weeks on gift ideas so we can all brainstorm together!  I am still deciding on whether or not I am doing a Christmas party. I will either do a larger one for family/friends or one just for family (which is still large as my husbands family is BIG)! One day at a time, I keep telling myself:)

As I periodically do I share recent happenings in my life as seen through the lens of my iPhone. This includes a few highlights from PB/Savannah as well as being back home here in NY. Here we go……

Was fiddling around the house the other day and started putting together this arrangement featuring these pretty new apple blossom stems, so then added white berries, some real evergreen and really loved the effect. It is a great transitional look from fall to winter and the green apples gives it a fresh appeal. Plus this color combination in blue and white to me, is spectacular as green, blue and white is possibly my most favorite combination.

Close up..aren’t  those apple blossoms great!

And let’s talk about one of my prouder accomplishments! I am most certainly not a baker but was pretty proud of myself with these mini 6″ apple pies!

Have always admired those who have that skill. I wish I could tell you I am a baking prodigy but these were so easy, anyone can do them! The beautiful set of leaf pie cutters from Sur La Table made these so easy.  Served on this fabulous antique Mottahedeh platter, they were quite a sight.

These mini 6″ pies involved only 5 ingredients as seen below. Just LOVE the way they came out. Ingredients were – 2 thinly sliced apples, some brown sugar, 2 pats of Kerrygold butter, oatmeal and that was it! Easy peasy and my son said they were “awesome” (his words)!

Got in the most GORGEOUS wreath from magnolia queen, Weston Farms (click here to see what they offer)

It promptly went on my front door

Margaret (in the office) set up our little mini Christmas tree sparkling  for a little office holiday spirit with all the new blue and white ornaments….what’s not to love!

This is funny- this is like an ornament orphanage. When we are almost out of our ornaments we have to start pulling from our little office tree, so we always laugh when one gets taken away from the others….and affectionately refer to this as our ornament orphanage:)

A few snapshots from gorgeous Savannah, don’t these pictures just scream iconic southern city!

Just love the history and beauty of this city

The moss is so beautiful

Back to PB and the beautiful new bowling alleys at PB, we went one night  after dinner and had the best time. Lots of laughs, and the “star bowler” of our group gloated over her 79. Didn’t have the heart to tell her 300 is what to aim for lol

Had dirt planted into my planters with my faux 2 ball boxwood topiaries, and no one would ever know they are faux….super realistic! (from my shop)

Last day in PB….captured this pretty picture to serve as a tranquil reminder of the feeling PB gives me

How precious are my sisters three dogs and my nephews newest addition, the German Shepard pup, Chief! And little Charlie below is the cutest little lovebug:)

Successfully made a yummy acai bowl! I am waiting on my Vitamix but my trusty little bullet helped me out….guilt free yummy dessert!

Yes started wrapping (empty) boxes just because I love our new paper!

Experimented with placing wrapped boxes on this pretty bench and on this elegant French chair…both win!

I am having fun experimenting with the newest sconce shades I just got in….love them! Just perfecting the fabric and then we will be adding them to the shop site:) What do you think about them? Going to stat with 6 colorways and hopefully build from there.

And that is a wrap for today! Hope you enjoyed the recent happenings in my life lately. I enjoy sharing these posts as it allows me to look back on what has been happening (the highlights of course) and sometimes its fun to go through old blogs that chronicle a period of time.

Hope all is well on your end. Are you starting to feel the holiday buzz yet? It is ringing very loudly over here! Wishing you a wonderful day, until next time…….

The apple blossoms and berries are wonderful! Love the puppy pictures – so miss having a dog around. Chief is gorgeous! Tarts look amazing, love my leaf/acorn pastry cutters as well! Silver Palate has a great pie crust recipe with added sharp cheddar. In a pinch have ‘cheated’, rolled in finely grated cheddar into store-bought pie dough. Or just added the cheddar to the apple mixture.
Picked up silver ‘bamboo’ casserole servers for a song at the huge charity rummage sale I volunteer at. I swear this is where engagement and wedding gifts end up, the servers had never been used! Will def check out your sale, as you can always use another!

Mini apple pies look great, what are the measurements & what temp in the oven. I would love to try them Thank You

So many beautiful things to comment on, your arrangement- wow! The pies have me wanting to try my hand at one and I also am not a baker but yours look so professional!
Love the lampshades, hope they will be available soon, I have a few lamps that would love those!

Your mini apple pies look delicious as well as beautiful with the decorative leaves!

Those little apple pies look delicious and so easy. How long do you cook them and at what temperature?
Thank you.

Oh those pups! So sweet. Looks like they are patiently waiting for their Thanksgiving turkey ?❤️?

As always a beautiful post. Would you happen to know what breed Charlie is? He looks so much like our beloved late Belle. Thank you and have a wonderful week.

Nice post…the new Apple stem arrangement so attractive. Fun to see it all.

It’s always so fun to see what you’ve been up too Tina. I sure know what you mean when you say it seems like we went from August to Thanksgiving in a heartbeat! Yikes, time sure flies when we are having fun!

Love the lampshades and the mini pies. Please give the recipe with directions.
the dogs are adorable.

I am Southern but live in Colorado with my sweet hubby. Today is my birthday and he has gifted me very well ! Anyway, I love Savannah and Charleston and thank you so much for showing the gardens and homes of our ancestors. It’s always fun to visit your post as you give us little glimpses of visits to PB and other Southern destinations. Thank you. How can you resist the darling puppies. I would be first in line to adopt or buy one of either of them. Hope your sweet heart heals soon and I look forward to seeing which sweet puppy you chose and many pictures.

Everything is “drop dead gorgeous”…and what do I want to know…how did you choose “that” particular brand of butter…franki

I love your mantel with bows on the Stafordshire dogs and ginger jars!
There’s much to love about your Blue & White office tree with all the wonderful ornaments?Yes, the bustling has begun and we had a very early Winter snow here yesterday. I am so not ready for that?but it’s here!!!
Enjoyed all your pictures!

Bonnie asked the same question,What breed is the
“cutest little love bug”. How do I find the answer?

Beautiful pies! You did a fabulous job. Professional. — The dogs are adorable too. -I think we all are starting to feel that holiday pressure. Not a good feeling.

Oh yes really feeling the holiday push over here too. We host a Christmas party every year the Saturday before Christmas which is both for my husbands company/personal so we have about 125-140 people. It is always much anticipated but a lot of work and planning too, even with a superb caterer. This year I started later than usual so really feeling that crunch too. Oh boy, why do we do this to ourselves every year!
Delightful post as always, especially love your beautiful green arrangement and those darling pies and kudos for your acai bowl. I have never tried them but they are all the rage around here. Your sisters dogs are precious. Love those lampshades, cannot wait till they become available. Those are on my list!
