Hello friends! Coming up for air…..such a busy busy week. Have spent literally every minute trying to make it productive. I went to a beautiful intimate birthday dinner last night in my honor given by a dear friend and what a wonderful and much needed break in a sea of non stop activity it was! You have to love those birthdays that just keep on giving! I have done what I can do as far as holiday decorating and am calling it a day on that front.

Today is all about finishing up some gift shopping,  working on final touches and flower arrangement for my party tomorrow night. Sunday will not be the day of rest I normally anticipate as I think it will be the final day to make sure everything is done and then finally I will be able to put my feet up and enjoy visiting family for the holidays. Phew….its been a crazy month! I have daydreamed many many times about escaping to PB I cannot lie:)

Remember next year…..you will be hearing from me in August to start discussing Christmas. “Those people” were right all along, lol. A quick glimpse into life around here the last week or so. This is a longer than usual random musings post as it reflects how much has been happening around here lately-

My friends beautifully set table….so festive!

A few scenes from the birthday dinner a friend hosted for me before people got there

Aren’t they the cutest!

Really felt the birthday love both at my office where they surprised me with a wonderful spread and gifts to the gorgeous flowers and gifts I got from family and friends

Meanwhile back at home, lots of white roses can only mean one thing…a party is brewing:)

My ornaments always make the best party favors!

Gifts going out the door, love my Staffordshire dog and gift paper with the chinoiserie bags, a beautiful match:)

I went to Louis Vuitton to buy a gift- and only there would there actually be a LINE to buy something….don’t know what to say about that:)

My little powder room getting a little holiday love

Holidays at home and a few snapshots of how things are coming along, it was late admittedly but I must say I love how everything looks-

Was in NYC a lot the last few weeks for various things, one was my design project got these fabulous antique chairs reupholstered (waiting for chair pillow) for their music room, they look gorgeous!

We had these elegant tie backs made for the drapes in the dining room

Another day in the life of my front seat, not unusual or a blue and white something to be buckled in:)

Have had lots of fun with Sno blast this season!

Flowers in the garage blooming on cue!

A few quick pics out and about in NYC

The gorgeous Metropolitan club in NYC all dolled up for Christmas

Went to a beautiful baby shower in NY at the Metropolitan Club

And for anyone needing their holidays in NYC fix, this ones for you!

Took time for a little break with a friend at Bergdorfs restaurant and their windows including this gingerbread display were out of this world (sadly after this picture was taken my phone died)

And that’s life around here lately, busy times but always trying to find the beauty wherever my travels have taken me. The highlight were my not one but three birthda celebrations….doesn;t get better than being surrounded by the love of family and friends and I will always cherish those memories.I love those birthdays that just keep on giving:) But now my focus turns completely to throwing a party tomorrow night, finishing up my gift buying and onward to Christmas.

I cannot wait for Christmas to actually be here, I plan to do not much more than cook, play board games and watch my favorite Christmas classics:) Hope this finds you doing well and on task with all you have to do, keep calm and jingle on!

Oh, those pictures of NY, NY!!! They make my heart skip a beat. And those French chairs for your client’s music room: gorgeous!!! Are you able to say who makes them? I don’t comment often but I enjoy your posts every time, Tina, and admire how hard you work. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I think you’re doing a tremendous job! Definitely take a moment to pat yourself on the back. Tomorrow I have 150 people coming to my house for a party, and I had no choice but to add a heated tent outside to help with the crowd. Hopefully everyone will visit the tent since it’s going to hold the oysters and a second bartender and bar! My husband and I are both lawyers and I have a new political career since I am a newly elected judge. Thank goodness I didn’t have to work this week so I could get everything done. I don’t know how you balance your career, blog, social schedule and a second home. I’m just so impressed! Take care and merry merry!

Everything looks beautiful. I know it has been a tremendous push, but you did it! Love your Holiday Home and can’t thank you enough for helping to make mine elegant, due to your amazing inspiration!
