Hi friends and happy Friday-  this contest is being held in honor of my beloved Teddy. How I miss that cute face, not a day goes by that I don’t think of him and his comforting and always welcoming sweet face when I walked through the door, the house hasn’t felt the same since. I am however thankful for the almost 14 amazing years our family had the chance to call him our very own.

Today’s contest, “Pet Love” is all about your favorite pet. I know what a huge part of our lives they are and what they mean to us, so this is a chance to celebrate your special pet. Use your imagination, maybe its your pet all dolled up for a holiday or a birthday, your dog swimming in the surf, your cat doing his/her thing, your pig donning a tutu, your geko showing his latest trick,  whatever floats your boat…as long as it has to do with a pet, it’s eligible.

As always I like to stress how very important, picture quality is. Typically pictures taken in natural daylight are far superior to those taken at night with a flash. Reflective surfaces like mirrors and light bulbs/lamps, do not work well. Size is important too, pictures must be at least 400 x 600. We will confirm your submission either saying that it’s been entered to telling you we cannot accept it, and will state why as well as give you the chance to send in another.

The contest is open to submissions from today until June 9th (or until we have 80 pictures). The contest will begin the week of June 11th and as always will be 2 rounds, then a showdown round with the two finalists. This is your chance for your favorite pet to get his/her close up plus the winner will win a pair of our beautiful porcelain pagoda dog bowls! The rules are below but as always if you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email ([email protected]) or phone- 1-800-804-9565. We cannot wait to start getting your entries:)

And as always I like to include examples of what a good picture/entry should look like. As I said pictures taken in daylight are generally the best, good bright color, clarity and sharpness as well as size are all important. Here are a few of sweet Teddy to exemplify what I mean-

❤️ Teddy… M. Toutou, a Shih Tzu, was my loving companion for 14 years. I adore my 3 rescue kitties but not a day goes by that I don’t miss my sweet, beautiful Toutou.

Oh Tina, I am a new subscriber so I do not know what happened to Teddy or when you lost him. He was so handsome! I am so sorry for your loss. They are our family too!
This has been the saddest post to read. My heart aches and tears are flowing. OXOX

I have lost pets had all had long good lives. A dog recused me and now I have a new best friend. Get another dog, start new memories and laughs and new photos of your new love. It’s time for it to happen. RIP Teddy

Love the Teddy pics. What a photogenic doggie! I am glad you still put in his picture at the end of each post!

The pictures of Teddy are so precious. And, I finally get to tell you how much I enjoy seeing his beautiful face at the end of each one of your posts.

Our pets certainly touch our souls deeply. It reminds me of the quote by Anatole France, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.
