Hello and Happy Sunday. A rainy and dreary Sunday over here but since the temps are holding steady in the 60’s no complaints here! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I am going to use today to get a few organizational tasks done around here, sit down with my new Charlotte Moss book and take my time with it because I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorites.

Maybe even watch a movie (or two). Love a lazy Sunday and when its raining, I feel zero guilt staying in and just chilling, I need a day like this every now and then:)  Onward to this weeks Seven on Sunday…

1 BEAUTIFUL NEW GOODIES COMING THIS WAY SOON. You know you are always the first to know of new things happening over here. We have so much to look forward to, some really showstopping pieces. The first shipment of our new spring wicker collection will be here late this week with a second shipment around end of April/first week of May, then several things coming in May, so yes we have a lot. to look forward to!

Just smitten with the new coral pagoda collection. These beauties will be here in about 4 weeks and are so chic for summer entertaining both indoors and out. These make me want to plan a summer party pronto!

And how about these snazzy wicker covered casserole dishes? Will be here sometime between mid to late May!

These fabulous wicker tulipieres will be coming in the same shipment ( we will holding a presale on this entire container in about 2 weeks)

2 SHRIMP SCAMPI RECIPE YOU WILL THANK ME FOR! As we are working on shedding the “pandemic poundage” I have turned to my healthier recipes and looking for new ones all the time. Shrimp is a great item to have on a diet menu, low in calories and very satisfying. I made a healthier version of a shrimp scampi (original called for much more butter and some cream). And guess what? You don’t feel like you are missing a thing, this is so unbelievably tasty and filing!

  • 2 lbs cleaned, deveined peeled shrimp ( I tend to buy extra large)
  • 3 Tbsp Kerry gold butter
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • Red pepper flakes (amazing how much zip this adds)
  • Zucchini noodles or zucchini slices (thinly sliced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Get your saute pan and saute butter and olive oil. Then add the garlic slivers, saute until gold brown. Add shrimp then a dash of salt and pepper. Cook about 4 minutes or until just about done. (they will continue to cook once you add zucchini noodles). Set shrimp aside on a plate, add zucchini noodles or slices to same saute pan and cook on low for about 4 minutes. When done, add shrimp and gently toss. Add a little more lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

******Have had a lot of people asking about my Beef Bourguignon recipe since I posted it for Easter, it is in one word- sensational. I have never tasted better. Long cooking time but so worth it, always a huge hit, never any leftovers. Click here for recipe (scroll down its item number 5)*******

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Even if I am having a bad day, I can always count on Instagram to add a dose of beauty and inspiration. So much beauty out in this world and I love being able to share it.

4 A DREAMY BEACH HOUSE As summer looms not to far into the future, I think many of us are dreaming of beautiful summer days spent by the water/ocean, having a glass of Rosé or a favorite cocktail, maybe enjoying an alfresco meal. I think after the year that we have had, even those very simple pleasure will bring deeper and more profound meaning and enjoyment.

If we were to build/buy a Hampton’s home something we got very close to doing (last year)  I would want it to look very much like this one below, gambrel roof, weathered shingles, just a classic looking Hamptons home. This beauty is by John B. Murray talented architect. Check out this beauty-

Beautiful home!

A beautiful sunroom is a must have!

Absolutely love this fabulous and grand kitchen space

Giving me serious “Somethings’s Gotta Give ” movie vibes here!

Love a great bunk room!

Just love this kitchen!

5 THE PRETTIEST BAKERY I always daydream about owning a high end coffee shop/bakery/ home furnishings shop all in one. Think something along the lines of the one from  It’s Complicated and Meryl Streep’s dreamy bakery. Love that one. Tatte Bakery to me, has totally captured that vibe. With two locations but expanding!

I mean is this not so beautiful! Their aesthetic is on point, makes me want to drive to Boston just to visit them. But I forgot I am. on a diet so in the meantime will just continue my daydream, but can’t you smell those aromas from here:)

Click here to visit their site and find out if there is one near you!

6 A FEW GOOD MOVIES/DOCUMENTARIES FOR YOUR LAZY SUNDAY I devour documentaries, and have seen them on every subject from Everest to Einstein, Mavericks to Machu Pichu. I find them so fascinating and enjoy a wide gamut of subjects. You always have to keep on learning:)

Found the Kindness Diaries so interesting and compelling, a kind of real time human experiment. Really heart warming too, might restore you faith in mankind:)

Who doesn’t love Audrey? I adore her and her elegance and grace is something we could use a lot more of in our world right now. This was entertaining and very enlightening.

Movies- I am very particular with, I won’t watch a move just to watch it. I like movies that make some kind of emotional connection, a movie you invest in. The gore, violence, special effects does absolutely nothing for me. I find many foreign movies to be among my favorite. This one below my parents told me about and I have watched it three tines, such simplicity, natural beauty that really draws you in. Just loved it, hats off to so many French films that are of this ilk, they definitely  know what they are doing!

7 SUNDAYS SURVEY I was reading an article about makeup and skincare with women and how most on average find something they love and stick with it, not often venturing out to find an entire new skincare routine.

Then it asked on average how many products the average women uses for skincare daily. I thought it was interesting, I personally like to keep it really simple,  I use makeup wipes, some kind of serum or moisturizer and that’s about it then at night (when I am good and remember) will  use night cream and/or eye cream but admit I need to get better. Thought it would interesting to turn this to you-

Lovely way to start my Sunday, thank you. Would you consider starting a Facebook page for your followers as a way for those of us in your online community to share movies, recipes, beauty products, etc with one another?

Thank you for the scampi recipe Tina. I’m excited to try it. A sunroom is a must, I agree. I’m rapidly becoming a skin junkie. I think I should have been an esthetician 😉

I love Ali’s idea of a Facebook Group. It be easier to keep track of recipes and all that we love from Enchanted Home.
I often meet people following your Blog & Instagram and I wish we had a Group to meet again.

Besides loving your taste and pretty much everything, I have come to rely upon your incredible recipes and movie selections all of which have never disappointed.

So today I think I will be making shrimp scampi and watching source of wonder! Thank you for all the joy and happiness that your beautiful blog brings!

PS alive those coral pagodas

I saw the Audrey documentary and really enjoyed it I never knew that she had such a vulnerable side which made me like her even more. When will your new pagodas be ready and able to be shipped? We are hosting a beach bash in late June and they would be perfect for our tables!

Will definitely be “looking up that movie”….WHAT HAS HAPPENED…everything is Sci-Fi, Cartoon, Macabre, yikes…. Always a good Sunday when seeing “The EnchantedHome!” franki

Thank you for the Shrimp Scampi with zucchini recipe…so light and delicious…perfect for spring and summer dinners on the patio!
And…Thanks for the crab bite recipe too!
Cant wait to try them all!

Tina, can you make out the backsplash in that wonderful kitchen? I’m getting ready to bring my kitchen into the 21st century (yes, it still sports it’s original 1942 cabinets!). My house is Colonial Revival, very traditional, so I’m trying to get this right, something that looks like it “belongs”. I truly appreciated your recent kitchen post. This kitchen would have made the cut, for sure. It’s just got good bones, just like your kitchen…beautiful but not trendy. That is so hard to achieve.

Did you forget to add the Beef Bourguignon recipe? I looked for it at #5 but did not see it!

The shrimp scampi looks so delicious thank you because I too am looking to shed a few pounds that I gained over the last year.

Always enjoy seeing all of the new products they are so pretty.

Really appreciate the movie suggestions, I have not seen any of them so will be looking them up tonight.

Thank you
