Hope you are enjoying a wonderful fall Sunday. Around here, fall weather has arrived and I wore my first sweater yesterday, loved it! I just live for fall and am determined to take a little trip up north just for a day or two to take in the magnificent fall foliage.

It is a sight to behold. I am also considering going back to occasionally  using a “real camera”. I was what I would call a hobbyist photographer. Knew/know very little about photography but have been told I have a pretty good eye.

I love taking pictures (am sure you are not surprised) and am particularly interested in taking pictures of,  besides my own products, nature. If you have a great recommendation for a good solid SLR camera (nothing crazily priced) wold love to know. Onward to this Sunday’s post….

2. A GORGEOUS HOME TOUR I am a fan of Caroline Gidiere, who in my opinion,  is a master at creating beautiful, timeless interiors that feel updated and current. Her Birmingham home is a stunner and it was such fun getting to see inside. A real charmer, particularly love her living room, so inviting yet sophisticated. This is a wonderful house tour, enjoy!

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST You can see fall fever is starting, Instagram has never looked prettier! I am behind the 8 ball here as far as any holiday decor for fall but certainly enjoying what Instagram has to offer and decided to dedicate this Sunday’s post exclusively to fall instagrams, enjoy…….

4 OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD Are you familiar with this company? I absolutely love what they do. They came up with the concept of hosting communal dinners in the great outdoors all around the country, in an effort to bring people together from all walks of life. I mean what could be more fun. I so want to go to one of these! They call themselves a restaurant without walls. They post dates in whatever state/country they will be in and now do private events as well. I just. love everything about this, click here to find out more

5 MEDITERRANEAN LENTIL SOUP It’s soup season and around here, there is always a pot of soup on the stove. I could live on soup year round. This hearty lentil soup is a step up from the usual as it has some aromatic and super flavorful Mediterranean spices that makes this heavenly good. You can add veges if you wish to make it even heartier. Get yourself a nice crusty baguette and you have yourself a wonderful meal!

  • extra virgin olive oil,
  • 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, chopped
  • kosher salt and black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sumac
  • 1 ½ teaspoon crushed red peppers
  • 2 teaspoon dried mint flakes
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 6 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 3 cups water, more if needed
  • 12 ounces frozen cut leaf spinach, no need to thaw
  • 1 ½ cups green lentils or small brown lentils, rinsed
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • 2 cups chopped flat leaf parsley

Directions-

  • In a large ceramic or cast iron pot, heat 2 tablespoon olive oil. Add the chopped onions and sautee until golden brown. Add the garlic, all the spices, dried mint, sugar and flour. Cook for about 2 minutes on medium heat stirring regularly.
  • Now add the broth and water. Raise the heat to high and bring the liquid to a rolling boil; add the frozen spinach and the lentils. Cook for 5 minutes on high heat then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the lentils are fully cooked to tender. (Partway through cooking, check the liquid levels, and if you need to add a little bit of hot water.)
  • Once the lentils are fully cooked, stir in the lime juice and chopped parsley. Remove from the heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes or so. Serve hot with pita bread or your favorite rustic Italian bread. Enjoy!

6 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOKSTORE. I think I will be taking a day trip to Boston just to visit this most charming bookstore, Beacon Hill Books. I have always dreamed of opening up my own old fashioned bookstore with a cafe. I had it all planned out in my head, and lo and behold my vision came to life via Beacon Hill books. How dreamy is this shop!! Just reopened and well worth a visit. If not to ooh and ahh over those luscious silvery blue walls, a color I am obsessed with (see my post yesterday) Click here to read all about this wonderful story.

hi, as usual so much to love and comment on. Absolutely love the new pedestals I would love to order two of the light blue for my family room.
we woke up to 40° so lentil soup sounds awfully good!
I love the new glasses to use as vases they are so decorative. Have a relaxing Sunday everyone!

I have been to Vermont and seen the church and walked that beautiful street when it looked exactly like that. Breath taking! Almost a dream world.

Love the new glasses. Kind of an Ikat design which I love mixing in with chinoiserie designs.
Wicker placements to match are great the melamine. Hoping they are thinner and softer so they lay flat. This being said, any chances on black and white melamine?
PS; my pumpkins arrived and look absolutely perfect! Thank you

I wore a sweater yesterday for the first time as well (southern Ontario)
Love all the libraries and autumn scenes

I have done couple Outstanding in the Field dinners, they are fun to go with a couple of friends, you do always meet the friendliest people from all over!!

The new style in the painted glasses will work beautifully with the original Lily of the Valley glasses..I have four of them and would love to add four of this new pattern!

Tina , you never cease to amaze me . Your products are gorgeous and you always bring wonderful new products. Thank you for all you do.
