Hello! Saying goodbye to our silver collection was not an easy decision, not one bit. I love our silver and own dozens of the pieces which I greatly anticipate using when the occasion calls for it. I have used almost every piece in some form or another and there is no question, silver really does elevate the setting like few things can. Plus our collection since introducing it about six years has grown to be quite an extensive collection!

So we were at an inflection point of sorts recently,  with my business, which mostly came out of my feeling very overwhelmed and overworked:) I had to sit down and really think abstractly about where we are and where we are going. At some point way down the road, I will likely sell my business. We have had a few inquires but I am much too attached and involved to consider it anytime soon. So, some critical thinking was in order (needed to achieve a better work/life balance), it was time to go back to what the crux of our business is and has become/evolved into. We are having a new website built (coming along beautifully and super user friendly) and that was the perfect time to consider what product lines are continuing with and what we are not.

The crux of our business is primarily porcelain, chinoiserie tole, wicker and all tabletop. We branched into many categories over these last four years,  thanks to my overactive imagination but soon things felt almost out of control. It was exhilarating to get in all these fabulous things and even more so to get the responses to these items that we did, but managing them, marketing them, ordering, designing them (oh and paying for them) is a whole other animal! Our warehouse is overflowing, we have officially outgrown out current space so even logistically speaking, these decisions had to happen.

So when it came time to cut at least 2-3 categories, and take a critical look  at the data, silver was one of them. We do extraordinarily well come fall through the holiday season. What holiday table doesn’t look  incredible with a touch of silver! Linens, was a newer category for us and those too, we did well with but the quantity minimums to order are huge and there are many many linen options out there. So that was a little easier to say goodbye to (but so happy I have at least one of each as I love them). Silver was a little harder to break ties with. But on paper it made sense. So our silver sale which is 30% off the entire collection continues, we are selling lots of it and for good reason. Our prices are already fantastic so these are now super deals for high quality silver plate.

Thought it would be fun to see some of our silver in action over the last years, glad I have these memories to keep, so that is what this post is all about!

We are going to consider doing a silver popup sometime in Sept. in anticipation of the holiday season where we would offer, let’s say 20 of our best selling items for a limited time. So stay tuned, we will announce it later summer if we will be doing that. In the meantime, its a fantastic time to snag some silver you may have had your eye on. Let’s walk down memory lane and take a look at how our beautiful silver has been used over the years…..

Serving salad, fruit in them would solve having so many dishes on a buffet table. The same goes for the julep cups displayed serving, crackers, veggies and nuts. Brilliant use of both items and I will be using both ideas over Thanksgiving, Christmas and Bridal Showers I am hosting. Thanks so much for taking me down memory lane with all the beautiful pictures. What a treat to view your site today.

Oh goodness, so many beautiful pieces, each one practical yet elevates a setting to graciousness and elegance.

Hi Tina-I’ve had a passion for beautiful table settings since I was a child, dressing the Sunday dinner table alongside my Mother and Grandmother. I especially loved the way the various silver pieces glistened on the table. To this day, I display every silver piece I’ve collected at some point throughout the year, from a simple luncheon for my card game group or a last minute drop in dinner for my granddaughter. I was missing silver charges and was so excited to see them included in your closeout sale. Thank you for years of inspiration!

My favorite silver item is the reeded pitcher. It can be used for water, iced tea, other drinks, and also hold a glorious bouquet of flowers!

Hi Tina — All of the pieces are beautiful, as are your photos of them in use! I’m in love with the table lamps with their beautiful beaded shades, and the mint julep cups – they’re so useful.
