Hi there, so I should have been in Omaha this morning prepping for an incredible event put on by the Omaha Symphony where yours truly was asked many months ago to be their guest speaker. I was so excited about this, it is a huge event and much anticipated every year, not to mention their biggest fundraising event. This event is called Table Art where approx 250 people gather to raise money for the symphony and get to marvel at incredible tables at the same time. This takes place over 2 days with a kickoff cocktail party and a beautiful luncheon.

The timing could not have been worse since I have the flu and having to cancel this was a huge huge disappointment. I was so looking forward to meeting many of my Omaha based customers and readers (and some traveling from other areas as well). Click here to read more about it. Needless to say it was a distinct honor to have been selected and I am deeply regretful that the flu had to get in the way. I know its going to be a huge success (as it sold out). I cannot wait to share the pictures and highlights with you all.

So, as you might imagine, I have had a lot of unexpected down time lately being sick,  so had fun going down memory lane and looking through many past fall seasons. What a beautiful season! I thought it would be fun to share some past inspiration. It is such a glorious season with the changing of the leaves and being able to introduce beautiful rich tones into our home whether via nature like adding magnolia or just beautiful big cut branches with colored leaves or in some cases, people change out pillows and accessories to reflect the moodier season of fall. Regardless if you go small or big, the changing of the seasons to me, is like a rejuvenation. Celebrate it!

Here is a look back at some previous fall inspiration…..

LOVE blue and white with a bit of rust thrown in, such a pretty combination

I copied a beautiful arrangement I had seen at The Met years ago, it inspired me to go clip dried hydrangea from my own yard to create this above

Ahhhh….back when I had hours of free time:) I painstakingly cut up mums and made these fun mum pumpkins!

A Thanksgiving table from about 4 or 5 years ago

This is what I mean when I say go into your yard and cut whatever you find, exactly what I did here. Just cut down branches and leaves and voila!

While I appreciate mums of all colors, white mums just do it for me

HUGE fan of magnolia and no one does it better than Weston Farms (click here) love it paired with blue and white

Remember these adorable mini apple pies I made with these fun leaf cutouts that I used with puff pastry……so pretty. Literally do not remember the last time I baked anything, it was possibly here 3 years ago!

An outdoor fall inspired table from years ago, filling a big bowl like our own large village scene centerpiece bowl with small gourds is so easy…and pretty!

I used fresh magnolia and white pumpkins for this pretty table

How pretty is this, love how this foyer table made such a pretty fall statement. Filled our grand raised dot jar with a huge massive spray of magnolia from Weston Farms, added our gorgeous porcelain pumpkins

These colors! Love the peachy/rusty tones with the magnolia, the first time I ever used them together, and against the blue and white it was so striking

A pretty fall mantle with magnolia, cuttings from my yard and big sugar cones which I bring out every fall/holiday

Our amazing village scene tulipieres in large flank a stunning magnolia and fresh flowers arrangement here. Really adore this color combination
